Like your idea Nidhi !!... but instead of a single thread wouldn't it be better to have separate thread for each plant..... and provide information about the plant in this way [ see below link ]

http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/myPlants.php?do=view&p=72&n=Asian_Ambulia_Limnophila_sessiliflora

and then under each thread members of IAH can share their experience\ thoughts and suggestions.... similar to links below.....

Sample Links...

PostForum: Filtration Equipment   Posted: Mon Feb 06, 2012 8:16 pm   Subject: Re: DIY Overflow Using Only PVC Pipe
I not sure if you have got the problem correct, I have only one sub pump and its inside the canister filter. The pvc overflow is built by using 3/4 inch pipe -> this is supposed to give water flow rate of 330 gph or 1250 lph and the pump outflow rate is 250 gph or 950lph.  So theoretically inflow is appx 80 gallon higher than the outflow yet I'm having issues. So just want to know how to fix this.

actually I built an DIY external canister filter ( similar to one built by hamza ) - but was unable to create the siphon. So I built this overflow using pvc  Smile . This solved siphon problem. Now the submersible pump is in the DIY canister filter. The pump is rated 950l\h. The inflow is not keeping up with the pump outflow. Due to this the pump is not fully submerged in water inside canister filter.

Guys,
I have made an overflow using PVC. The design is based on the following link. http://www.aquariumlife.net/projects/diy-overflow/120.asp
The rating of the submersible pump used is 950 l/h. The issue that I have is with the water outflow rate - its higher compared to the inflow. Due to this the submersible pump runs out of water. So any suggetions ??
