Thanks for your kind response

Dear Tirtha and Kunalrsingh,
I edited this posts and REMOVED RED

kunalrsingh wrote (View Post):
please stop writing in red. there is no need for it. its not feasible to connect another filter to the inlet of 2217. cant see the point in it!!i have a 2217 running in a 5' tank. i just clean it regularly. if you want to spend money then you can buy any other filter. thats up to you. but dont conntect it to the inlet of the eheim. didnt understand by what you meant by "inline CO2 diffuser"?

vpul,
its the biological filteration that is actually good for the tank. its the growth of good bacteria that we promote in the filter. for enhanced water flow you can just add a extra power head in the tank.

Hi Kushira... first stop shouting and using red. Not required at all.

For a 60"x24"x24" planted tank a single 2217 is not enough. In terms of filtration as well as in terms of water circulation. You need a bigger filter or 2x2217 or 2217 with power filter inside the tank.

Specially when you will use an inline CO2 reactor along with a 2217 the out flow rate will drop a lot. As well as I don't think 2217 is enough to run an inline reactor efficiently. You need something more powerful. So instead of selling the 2217, buy another bigger canister filter with higher outflow which will help you in filtration as well as will run the reactor effectively.

Kushira,

You can buy one more 2217, and I guess that should be enough for this tank.

as I mentioned My tank is of 60" of length and if I put inlet of filter to one end and outlet to another end,, and in between there is an inline CO2 reactor was also connected so I thought that the filter's flow rate will reduced that is why I am planning of that thing

Hi Vipul

Thanks for your Kind and Valuable Information . . .

But the problem is
I am planning the tank is with MINIMUM OF Equipments INSIDE OF THE TANK ( which only contains One Glass Lilly Pipe and Glass intake tube connected )
and as per my knowledge we have to put Eheim compact 2000/3000 pump inside the tank,

as I am planing a tank with big school of cardinals, harlequin rasbora, Rummy Nose, Emperors and Thread Fin(Feather fin) Rainbow Fishes and of coarse some Algae eaters (Planing Otto If I get) and last but not least one pair of corydoras ( any one among corydoras trilineatus, corydoras sterbai or corydoras julii ) which depends on availability.

Hi ALL . . .

I have purchased a 5'x2'x2' Tank along with one Eheim 2217 for filtration and an inline co2 diffuser which connects to output of the filter,
Now I doubt that whether the filter is sufficient for the tank . . .
IF NOT . . .
CAN I GET ANOTHER FILTER OF A LOW CAST BRAND AND CAN I CONNECT IT'S OUTPUT TO INLET OF 2217
(BECAUSE I OPENED THE PACKAGE AND CUT THE OUTLET PIPE SO I CANNOT GIVE IT BACK TO SHOP Sad )

and I am planing minimum equipments inside the Tank

and sorry, if any grammatical and spelling mistakes
