Hi,

I am using a topfilter in my marine setup and the powerhead is creating a tsunami in my small tank.

I have a few questions:

1. is there any way i can reduce the speed of the water coming out of the powerhead?
2. there is a plastic tube connected to the powerhead which is closed in one end,if i remove this tube from the powerhad then the water flow is somewhat slow
the water is flowing like a fountain and this flow is manageable and looks fine

but if i connect the tube then the water force in the powerhead is like a storm. (the powerhead came with the tube connected)

can i remove the tube so that the flow will be normal or should the tube be connected for any purpose.(will removal of the tube cause any malfuntion in the filter)

kindly advise please

vijay
