Hi Suraj,
Then what will stand with Kois, Is it possible to have naturally clear water? If I get these plants, I am planing to make small partition in pond with wire mess and put these plants there to absorb the excess nutrients.
Sid said Water Hyacinth will stand kois?

Hi Vidhyasagar,

Thanks for your suggestion, this is very practical and I will try this out. But I would like to have a stabilized pond with its own eco system and natural breeding conditions.

Hi Keshava,

Thanks a lot, since I became the member I came across lots of information and did not know what to apply, I will start with your suggestions and see how effective they are. We have lots of fishes Koi-carp, tinfoils, gold fish, mollies, sharks and may more which ever dose not fit our glass tank.  We have 2 plecos which have grown big.

I will start with floating plants, water change and a air pump. I would like to have a clear pond with big Japanese KOIs. I am amazed to see that there is lots of science and effort behind a beautiful pond.

Thanks and Regards,
Ravi    http://indianaquariumhobbyist.com/community/modules/Forums/images/smiles/grin.gif

PostForum: Garden Ponds   Posted: Wed Feb 10, 2010 9:19 pm   Subject: Need help to improve my pond
Hi all!
I have pond in our garden approximate size is 15 X 5 feet - 2 feet deep, we have many fish mostly koi and others. The water is green, we would like have a clean water so that we can see the fishes. Setting up a filter may be expensive for the big pond. Is there a natural way to keep the water clear? Will Algae eaters help to clean? I have uploaded our pond photos for you view. Need help.
We have lotus in our pond and a bridge gos across. We have panted lotus and plants in pots and the bottom has no soil, just concrete floor.

Thanks,
Ravi

Hi all,
http://indianaquariumhobbyist.com/community/modules/Forums/images/smiles/clap.gif
I am Ravi from Tiruppur, (near Coimbatore) Tamilnadu. I am doing exports business, we have a glass tank for past 6 years and also have fish pond at home.

I would like to have a planted aquarium, even though we had a tank,I do not know much about fish keeping. Would like to learn from this forum and keep a nice planted aquarium /pond.

Thanks,
Ravi
