What  is  the  tanks  max.temp  during  summer  ?
What  method  (fans, chiller, etc)  do  you  use  to  lower  temperature  in  your  tank  ?

 Thanks  Mayur

Can  you  pls  explain  why  T5  would  be  needed  with  150W  MH.  Can  I  add  another  75  or  100  watt  of  MH.

 Thanks  Deepak  and  Rony

Rony...This  summer  temperature  of  water  was  about  30  degrees  Celcius.  Since  Chiller  in  very   costly  ,  I  use  two  fans  for  cooling  purpose.

 Regards

Your  problem  is  not  low  light,  it  is  DIY  Co2,  which  produces  fluctuating  co2  levels  and  results  in  algae  &  poor  plant  growth.  Upgrade  to  pressurised  co2  &  see  the  difference.

 Hi  Robi

I  shifted  to  pressurized  Co2  almost  an  year  back.  Growth  issues  are  not  due  to  Co2  but  due  to  insufficient  lighting.  And  that's  why  the  need  for  help.

MH  are  avilable  in  70w,150w  and  250w  (never  seen  a  100w  or  75w  mh  )

 150w  mh  cover  a  2x2sq/ft  area

T5  just  to  cover  the  extra  6  inch  area

2x150w  mh  will  be  overkill  for  3ft  tank  so  just  add  2  T5

Couldnt  get  100  Mh..Would  3  nos  of  70  Mh  would  be  sufficient  for  this  tank  or  one  150  Mh  ,  which  would  cover  2  ft  and  for  rest  1  feet  one  70  MH

Pls  suggest  what  would  be  the  correct  configuration

 Hi  Sanjay,

Have  you  looked  at  the  option  of  LED  spot  lights  they  come  in  10/20/30/50  watts  10X3  or  20X3  for  a  3foot  tank  should  work.

Request  members  who  are  using  these  to  advise.

Sanjay  they  are  available  opposite  Craford  Market  electric  market.

Shelly  and  others  had  posted  links  and  details  of  these  lights.

If  you  are  still  unable  to  lcate  them  go  to  Amazon.com  and  search  for  them.
