Get  in  touch  in  Nautilas  in  Bandra,  they  normally  carry  a  decent  stock  of  plants.
Ask  the  lady  in  charge  (Forget  her  name)  to  mail  down  a  list  of  plants  to  you,  then  you  can  decide  which  plants  to  buy.
Availability  of  plants  is  a  bigger  than  than  trying  to  decide  what  to  buy,   Very Happy  suppose  you  get  a  good  list  and  none  of  those  plants  are  available.
If  possible  get  in  touch  with  JOy  Mitra,  he  knows  the  ower  ,  it  is  Mr.  Matthews.
Getting  in  touch  will  also  save  you  time.  Thumb Up

Sandeep  I  shall  be  at  Bombay  on  15th.  I  asked  the  persons  at  Nautilas,  but  they  say  that  they'll  remain  closed  on  that  day  being  a  National  Holiday.  I  just  hope  some  other  LFSs  open  at  that  day.  I'll  visit  Crawford  Market  and  see  if  some  of  the  shops  are  open.

 Saurabh,

Very  difficult  to  kill  a  Anubias.  Care  to  give  details?

Adding  to  the  list  try  Foxtail,  Elodia  etc.  Floating  hardy  plants.

 Regards,
 Nayak.

I  own  a  pair  of  4"  carp.  The  one  of  hi-fin  variety.  It  has  a  habit  of  nibbing  plants  from  bottom.  When  they  are  new.  I  dont  know  what  happened  but  all  the  leaves  etc.  of  anubia  are  gone.
Once  the  plants  are  about  a  month  or  two  old  the  carps  dont  bother  for  them.

 @  Abhi

Brother,  these  carps  are  already  considered  as  pond  fish.  I  dont  have  the  heart  to  shift  them  to  a  smaller  aquarium  or  to  give  them  to  someone.  Me  and  my  family  are  kind  of  attached  to  them.
I  am  planning  to  convert  any  of  my  other  aquarium  into  a  planted  one.  Lighting  arrangement  and  the  thought  of  electricity  bills  stops  me  from  it.
Actually  my  two  footer  has  scope  for  one  holder  only.  I  can  add  one  more  if  I  try.  But  please  suggest  if  2  x  25  W  CFLS  would  be  sufficient  for  24  x  12  x  12  tank.  With  some  low  light  plants.

 @  saurabh.

your  total  gallon  is  24x12x12/231=15  gallons.you  are  trying  to  provide  50  watts  i.e.  more  than  3  wpg.you  can  have  mid  to  high  lights  plants  too  as  your  lighting  is  quite  sufficient.if  you  only  wants  to  keep  lowlight  plants  then  u  can  go  for  one  36watts  pll  instead  of  2  25  watts  cfl.btw  which  plants  your  thinking  of  and  what   give  for  micros  and  macros  ???   Thumbs Up
