 The  Theme  for  May  2009  competition  is  PLANTED  TANKS
 
 Please  start  posting  your  entries  for  the  Competition.
 
 The  competition  will  be  open  from  1-5-2009  to  31-5-2009.
 Please  make  sure  that  your  pictures  conform  to  size  800  by  xxx.
 In  case  you  are  submitting  more  than  one  photograph,  please  number  them  1,2,3…..

 Tank  Size:  28"L  *  15"H  *  12"W
 Fauna:  Cardinals,  Pink  Danio,  Ramirezi,  Serpae  Tetra,  Hockeystick  Tetra,  Golden  Algae  sucker,  Bristlenose  Pleco,  Scissor  Tail  Rasbora,  Lemon  Tetra.
 
 Plants:  I  do  not  exactly  know  the  actual  names  of  the  plants  but  I  am  just  learning.  I  have  added  moss  and  anubias  is  what  I  know  after  this  picture  was  taken.  I  know  there  is  hygrophilla  in  there  and  cabomba  out  of  which  the  red  has  been  removed.  I  guess  there  is  ludwiga  that  is  there  in  the  front  and  Vallesneria  at  the  back  and  also  green  lillies  on  the  left.
 
 Lights:  2  X  18  watts  CFL  going  for  8-10  hours  a  day.
 
 Cooling  with  2  CPU  fans  low  powered  ones.
 
 Substrate:  Layer  of  red  soil  topped  with  humus  and  fertilizer  balls  uptil  1.2inches  and  1.8inch  of  river  sand.
 
 
 DIY:  CO2  (Not  Regular)  
 
 
 Dosings:  none
 
 
 Filteration:  2  X  Air  pump  driven  sponge  filters

 Decoration  -  Rocks,  drift  woods
 Pressurised  Co2  at  1  bubble  every  second.
 Dosing  -  Seachem  -  Flourish,  Excel.  Dry  ferts  as  and  when  required.
 
 Flora  -  Moss  -  Java,  Christmas,  Spiky,  Fissidens  Fontanus.  Fern  -  Java  -  Tropica,  broad  Leaf,  Taiwan,  Narrow  Leaf,  Needle  leaf.
 Anubias  -  Hastifolia,  Gigantea,  Lancelota,  Congensis,  Var  Barteri,  Var  Barteri  Var  Wavy,  Coffefolia,  Minileaf  (New  variety  -  not  petite),  Afzeli,  Var  Nana.
 Blyxa  Aubertii,  Vals,  Lily.
 
 Fauna  -  Paracheirodon  innesi,  Puntius  denisonii,  Trigonostigma  heteromorpha,  Otocinclus  affinis,  Panda  cories.
