It  is  loaded  with  Eggs  Titash.  I  have  not  tried  breeding  them.  Also  it  is  difficult  to  see  their  eggs  in  company  of  others.  They  are  typical  scatterers  and  devour  the  eggs  no  sooner  than  they  are  released!

That's  the  primary  indicator  that  your  TBs  are  into  spawning  mode,  congrats!  Smile

Separate  the  pair  to  a  different  breeding  tank.
Put  some  floating  plants  in  this  tank  which  maybe  preferred  as  egg-dropping  area  by  the  female.  This  tank  must  have  small  pebbles  or  rocks  as  a  substrate.  Why?  Eggs  released  by  female  will  be  secured  between  the  gap  of  pebbles.  Parents  have  the  habit  of  gulping  their  own  brood,  thus  safety  of  young  ones  is  ensured  by  creating  safe  area  for  eggs.

Keep  us  updated  with  the  progress.

Follow  the  steps  given  by  Yogesh.

A  small  tip,  put  the  best  male  you  have  in  the  breeding  tank  a  few  hours  before  you  release  the  female.  Release  the  female  at  night  and  the  next  morning  with  the  first  rays  of  light  pour  iced  water  (or  cubes)  to  bring  down  the  water  temperature  a  few  degrees.  You  will  see  the  fish  spawn.........got  this  tip  from  Beta  and  it  works  for  me  perfect.

Start  your  infusoria  culture  if  you  wish  to  raise  the  fry.  They  will  eat  nothing  but  infusoria  until  they  are  1  week  old.  Hope  this  helps....  Smile

 All  the  best  Titash..  !!
the  belly  is  so  round  and  no  chance  to  be  overfed  like  those  of  mine.

 This  could  be  helpful.

i  have  always  used  a  trio(2  males  one  female)  while  breeding  egg  scatterers  and  got  a  large  brood  compared  to  a  pair  ratio.  if  u  plan  to  breed  them,  whatever  yogesh  and  marc  said  are  the  best  things  to  do,  nothin  more  to  be  added.

Also  try  to  culture  some  microworms...  That  is  a  good  second  food  after  infusoria.   Tiger  barb  fry  are  very  small.

I  lost  1  too,  thought  its  pregnant  but  it  turned  out  otherwise.  The  tiger  barb  is  an  active  schooling  fish  and  they  move  around  together...

 Good  Luck...
