Well  ,  it  is  my  first  venture  into  non  cory  and  non  pleco  cats  from  South  America.  And  I  must  say  I  am  much  more  impressed  by  them.  No  to  mention  got  all  help  from  our  very  own  catman  (Balaji)  .  He  has  really  helped  me  to  sort  out  the  fishes  which  will  be  better  suited  for  a  cat  newbie  like  me..

 So  thank  you  balaji..

 Time  for  pics  :-

 1.  Platydoras  Armatulus  :-  Got  2  of  these  .

Very  active  at  night  and  real  treat  to  watch  them  scavange  for  food.

 2.  Agamyxis  Pectifrons  :-  Got  3  of  these.  These  are  real  cute  white  spotted  ones  .  Much  more  active  during  the  day  than  the  platys.

Now  taking  pics  of  these  are  real  tough  as  they  hide  a  lot.

But  really  so  very  happy  that  atleast  I  have  got  to  keep  some  of  these.  Next  in  my  list  goes  Microglanis..

So  enjoy  the  show  and  share  pics  of  your  SA  cats..

 Thanks  Suhail,Zakk.
Well  yes  ,  the  first  one  is  the  talking  cat  fish  as  they  do  make  a  sound  in  the  night  by  grinding  their  pectoral  bone  .
They  have  been  reported  to  get  upto  max  .  7-8  in  while  agamyxis  grows  to  about  5-6  in..

Small  but  great  for  my  angel  tank

Nice  cats  Abhishek.  Take  care  while  netting  any  Doradids.  The  Platydoras  look  thin.  Feed  'em  some  fattening  sinking  pellets.

Marc  ...  You  are  right  buddy!!  However,  I  am  only  happy  to  be  brainwashed  by  the  catman..  Amazing  species.

Balaji  -  Yup  feeding  them  NLS  thera  A,  Tetra  Bits  and  frozen  bloodwroms  .  Will  get  some  Hikari  sinking  pellets  too  for  them.

Why  should  we  not  target  Prem  now?  His  8  footer  will  make  a  heaven  for  the  cats.   Chuckle

Supro  -  Lovely  cats  you  have  buddy  !!  Thanks  for  sharing.

Thanks   Mridul,  Well  you  should  keep  them  to  know  about  them  more  .

Anindya  -  I  am  also  in  the  search  of  pictus.

Thanks  Govind-  I  don't  have  any  more  now  but  many  more  to  come  if  Balaji  blesses  me  ...  Chuckle

Go  easy  on  the  Tetra  Bits.  Hikari  Carnivore  and  ANS  Pellets  (available  in  Aqua  Star)  should  be  good.
