This  is  my  newly  acquired  male  betta  splenden.   He  is  now  in  a  10-gallon  quarantine  tank  and  I  hope  he  didnt  harbour  any  diseases  whatsoever.

Hopefully  the  betta  experts  here  can  give  some  comments  on  him.

BTW,  I  can't  confirm  that  this  halfmoon,  can  someone  give  opinion  of  the  ID,  please.

 Betta  splenden

 Thank  you  everyone.

I  hope  he  is  healthy  and  presently  been  feeding  him  with  some  tubifex  and  pellets.

Freshly  hatched  BBS  seemed  like  speck  of  dust  to  him.   He  doesnt  eat  them  nor  bother  to  look  at!

 Hi  Matnoh,

Hatched  BBS  can  be  used  for  only  fries  and  juveniles.  Try  getting  matching  female  and  breed  them.

Oh  i.c.   Didn't  know  about  that.   I  was  of  the  opinion  the  adult  bettas  also  eat  them  too.

 Thks  for  the  info.

BTW,  what  do  you  think  of  him?

Yes,  I  would  love  to  breed  bettas  too.   But  at  the  moment,  I  am  trying  to  get  things  right  first,  before  I  jump  the  bandwagon  of  betta  breeders.

Presently,  I  am  with  the  blue  grass  guppies.

prabu,  you  have  great  collection  of  bettas.  i  am  so  jealous!

if  this  guy  proven  me  right  and  stayed  healthy  and  improved  his  overall  well  being,  i  intend  to  go  all  out  with  the  giants.   they  look  real  stout.

 thks  prabu  for  chipping  in.
