 Hi

I  think  there  is  some  disbalance  with  your  co2  and  lighting  combination.

Share  the  details  of  the  tank.

Maybe  it  got  too  hot...  It  is  an  outdoor  container,  and  Jaipur  could  very  hot  in  summers.  Typically,  you'd  have  to  keep  the  temperature  below  28  deg  C  or  at  most  30C.  Check  the  water  temperature  in  your  tub.

Hair  algae  is  not  harmful  to  fishes.

do  you  know  for  certain  that  the  fish  got  entangled  when  it  was  still  alive?  Highly  improbable.

And  in  any  case,  an  entangled  fish  will  not  die.  Its  not  like  some  terrestrial  creature  that  got  entangled  in  something  underwater  &  drowned.  It  was  a  fish  that  was  still  in  water.  IMO  the  fish  got  entangled  only  after  it  died.  the  cause  of  death  has  to  be  something  else.  Also,  algae  is  not  that  strong  that  fish  cannot  wriggle  out.

Look  for  other  causes.  Hair  algae  is  definitely  not  the  cause.

Give  all  specs  of  your  tank,  so  people  can  help  out  better.

 Hi

I  have  also  a  outdoor  pot  with  crypto  &  water  lily.  I  have  fishes  there  as  well  as  lot  of  hair  algae.

But  no  fishes  are  died  till  today  but  2  days  back  I  got  some  fry  also.  I  have  Black  Molly,  Guppy,
Platty  etc.  Temperature  is  30-32c.  in  midday  but  in  night  come  down  to  27-28c.

As  Athreyan  said  I  think  your  fish  died  due  to  different  reason.

Check  other  parameters  of  your  pot  and  post  here  also.
