I am new to this forum and Planted aquarium.I need few clarification and help
Currently i am in Chennai. In my area ground water is very salt. I used same water for fish aquarium and did not face any issue.
is salt water OK for planted aquarium?
Then i used mineral water (Packed drinking water 20 l), now plants are growing and have good leaves but plants are turning black. Please advice on this condition. (I have good lighting, soil and air flow)

I had no issues of plants with hard water, only the thing you need good fertilization based on your water.
Plants need good flow of water in the tank which is normally provided by the filter, what filter do you have?
What is the soil set up you have mentioned?
You can grow java moss if the water is soft and temp is around 26'c, which probably needs to be brought down in Chennai.
No issues in using mineral water, but its devoid of most of the minerals needed for the plants. you will have to dose the fertilizer to add back the minerals.
