He's  my  Fh  which  i  bought  a  year  back...he's  pretty  active  and  the  amazing  thing  i  like  most  in  him  is  that  he  reacts  even  when  i  see  him.
"when  he  is  lurking  down  and  when  i  just  look  at  him  or  even  take  my  hand  up  he  will  come  right  away  and  play  and  show  off"

I  love  him  as  i  would  love  a  brother  and  in  my  house  we  treat  him  as  one  of  us.  First  i  bought  him  from  a  farm  for  Fengshui  reasons  and  now  he's  more  than  just  a  fish.  He's  a  part  in  my  family.

 Comments  are  most  welcome....
 regards
 sundar

From  the  2nd  picture,  I  could  infer  that  the  tank  is  a  bit  small  for  the  FH,  any  plans  of  shifting  it  to  a  bigger  tank?

 Regards

I  feed  him  twice  a  day  with  Hi-red/Aini  -  pellets  and  alternate  days  with  frozen  Bloodworms.
Once  a  week  with  Live  BloodWorms  and  Shrimps.  I  dont  feed  him  with  live  fishes  and  i  have  asked  venky  here  for  a  share  of  Beef  heart  mix  while  he  makes  for  his  fishes.  Im  a  brahmin  and  i  cant  make  it  in  my  house  for  sure. If  i  do  then  im  thrown  out  of  my  house  for  sure....

 He's  now  in  a  2.5Ft(30in)  X  1Ft(12in)  X  1.5Ft(18in).....soon  he  will  be  shifted  for  sure.
 I  change  the  water  once  a  week  -  60%-70%
Submersible  filter...i  dont  remember  the  name  of  it  now..sorry  for  it.  But  its  pretty  good....i  have  undergravel  filter  but  because  he  takes  all  the  stones  on  top  of  it  and  constructs  a  new  landscape  ...i  have  removed  the  tubes  connected  to  it  though  the  filter  stays  in.(In  the  second  picture  you  can  see  in  the  right  side)

when  i  bought  him  he  was  around  2  months  old  or  less..Its  been  1year  and  2  months(completes  in  another  2  days)

i  cant  measure  his  size  now...he  keeps  running  all  around  and  when  i  just  go  near  him  then  its  the  final.  He  wont  stand  in  one  single  place  for  some  time.  Very  active  (touchwood)

Thanks  to  all  for  the  comments.  Im  planning  to  keep  some  more  chichlids  in  another  tank  which  i  have  ordered.  As  soon  as  i  get  them  set  i  will  post  the  pics  and  the  info...

well  i  actually  thought  of  oscars  as  my  first  option.  But  venkat  suggested  me  to  keep  Dwarf  chichlids  .  This  is  because  of  my  new  tank  i  ordered

 Its  specs  are  2.5Ft  X  1.5Ft  X  1.5Ft  and  its  12mm.
ya  i  know  its  a  bit  too  much  but  i  cant  do  anything  more  now...as  i  have  already  asked  the  LFS  for  it  and  he  said  he  would  get  it  today  but  that  ******  dropped  me  down  for  the  day...

I  would  like  your  opinions  also  ....  im  still  in  a  dilemma  of  choosing  the  best  kind  for  the  tank.your  helps  are  most  welcome  and  accepted.  Thanks  rocky  in  advance..

And  my  Flowerhorn  is  at  the  size  of  11  inches(with  great  difficulty  i  finally  found  out)  and  he's  ZengZhou  breed.

 Potteypot,

First  of  all  tell  us  your  real  name  &  try  to  make  it  a  part  of  your  signature.

 Comming  to  your  post...

Are  you  going  to  buy  imported  moulded  tank  or  locally  made  custom  tank.  Also  tell  me  why  you  are  going  to  take  tank  of  12mm  glass....Confused,  becuase  6mm  glass  will  be  enough  for  your  tank  size,  even  I  do  have  48"x18"x18"  tank  of  6mm  glass...

 My  real  name  is  Sundar....

Im  buying  a  locally  custom  made  tank  only.  Its  my  crazy  time  that  i  asked  that  guy  to  build  such  a  tank  in  such  a  glass.  I  know  its  enough  but  .....now  i  got  an  option,  the  guy  haven't  delivered  my  tank  and  i  dont  know  if  he's  got  the  glass  also.  I  tried  him  but  he  aint  picking  his  mobile.
I  got  to  visit  his  shop  tomorrow  afternoon  ..if  he  hasn't  prepared  then  im  getting  my  order  back  and  will  plan  out  for  a  new  tank  as  u  said  in  6mm  or  8  mm.  Can  you  send  me  your  tank's  pic  rocky.  Also  suggest  me  which  fish  i  can  accomodate  in  that  size  tank.(There  is  no  change  in  the  size  of  the  tank,  only  in  the  thickness  maybe).  I  love  to  keep  chichlids  or  anyother  fish  whose  life  span  is  more  than  5  years.

 Thnx  ragav....
