Juncus  repens  has  started  to  grow.  seems  to  do  best  directly  under  MH.

The  Ludwiga  verticilliata  var.  Cuba,  started  slowly,  I  lost  a  few  stems  to  rot,  but  then  it  has  perked  up  and  is  beginning  to  stabilise.

How  do  you  buy  from  Metro  ?  Don't  you  require  a  commercial  establishment  registration  or  something..  ??

Yes,  you  need  a  VAT  Number  or  some  such  thing  and  then  register  at  Metro.

Club  your  purchase  with  any  of  the  members  from  IAH  who  have  a  Metro  ID  card.

 Hi  all

My  friend  just  picked  up  these  tubes  from  metro.  The  minimum  buy  for  the  tubes  is  4.  The  m.r.p  of  these  tubes  is  Rs.95/-    For  people  who  are  looking  to  buy  only  1  or  2  tubes  you  can  go  to  your  normal  delar  and  pick  it  up  from  him.  The  price  difference  is  not  that  much  in  metro  its  only  rs.20/-  to  the  mrp.

Will  keep  you  guys  posted  on  these  tubes.  I  guess  we'll  find  out  if  these  are  good  tubes  to  have  or  simply  overrated  Smile

     Regards

    Hi  all!!!

The  8000k  tubes  are  working  really  well  my  plogestemon  helferii  has  started  giving  out  runners  and  the  utricularia  has  finally  taken  off  only  parameter  changed  was  the  lights.  So  first  round  goes  to  these   tubes.  Now  offcourse  i  have  to  watch  how  it  works  over  a  period  of  longer  span  of  time.  In  two  weeks  i  have  seen  a  definate  positive  change  in  the  tank  after  the  introduction  of  these  lights.  So  its  a   Thumb Up   for  the  8000k  tubes.

 Hi  soumi

Osram  has  launched  these  lights  all  over  india,  so  in  kolkata  if  u  can  source  out  a  osram  dealer  i  am  sure  he'll  have  it  with  him.  Since  these  lights  are  manufactured  in  india  i  dont  see  how  a  big  city  like  kolkata  wont  have  it.

 Hi  Soumi,

Just  give  it  sometime,  we  have  all  waited  till  it  arrived,  now  that  they  are  available  here,  it's  just  a  matter  of  time  .....wait  for  a  few  days  /  weeks  &  they  should  be  available  soon.

4’  for  transportation  is  too  dicey,  if  care  is  taken  the  packing  will  cost  you  more  than  the  tubes.  Patience  is  the  key!  Meanwhile  you  could  check  up  with  the  Local  Osram  dealer.

 I'm  am  now  using  the  Samson  SU4  36  W.  This  is  a  Cool  Daylight  7200  K.
Previously  used  the  Phillips  PL-L  36  W  in  the  same  holder.

By  the  way  I  have  a  Metro  Card  but  it  makes  more  sense  to  buy  from  the  local  market  unless  you  are  buying  something  there  for  half  the  market  price  which  happens  sometimes  though  not  very  often.
