A  mini  update  from  the  temporary  mini  bar  (one  room  has  been  dedicated  to  the  fish  &  drinks  only,  all  dedicated  aquarists  Smile  )

Had  a  rocking  day  catching  fish  today.  My  first  professional  wild  caught  is  Puntius  Sahyadrensis,  can  anybody  believe  that.  Caught  a  total  of  8  juveniles.  Next  catch  was  Melon  Barbs,  many  many  of  them,  followed  by  8  loaches  in  a  span  of  15  minutes.

This  is  not  the  chronological  order  of  reporting,  but  this  is  my  first  trip  &  i'm  all  but  jumping  up  &  down,  elated  by  my  success.  I've  had  my  own  bit  of  innovation  in  the  catching  process,  which  i'm  sure  will  be  spoken  about  &  which  i'll  update  once  i'm  back.  Everyone's  dead  tired  today  &  tomorrow's  another  long  day.

After  3  days  we  are  back  all  safe  and  sound.

A  dented  Zen,  full  story  will  follow  tomorrow.  The  Zen  made  it  back  to  Bangalore  at  120  Kmph  after  the  incident.

Occupants  of  the  car  Navneeth,  Shreyas  and  Suneal.  None  hurt,  but  all  shaken  up.

The  occupants  were  removed  from  the  car  and  the  car  brought  back  on  the  road  in  one  minute.

Man,  tired   and  satisfied  to  the  core,  we  returned  to  Bangalore  tonight.  I  personally  reached  my  place  in  the  city  at  10.  Kept  the  fishes  in  seperate  bucekts  with  100%  water  change  and  airator.

I  was  spelbound  by  the  nature,  the  never  ending  and  magnificently  beautiful  collection  spots.  We  were  in  areas  where  99.99%  times  our  mobiles  were  towerless.  It  was  amonst  the  hills  and  forrests  of  Shimoga,  Tirthahalli,  Kudremukh  National  forrest,  shringeri.  Mist,  ferns,  streams,  bamboo  leaves,  water  -  a  haven  of  the  King  Cobras.  Many  signborads  read  "drive  slow,  keep  eyes  open  for  snakes."

We  used  to  start  driving  at  6  am  sharp  and  used  to  collect  and  inspect  minimum  15  spots  everihe  x  ty  day,  So  that  is  45  spots  in  the  2.5  days..  The  collection  has  been  exceptional.  We  have  collected  many  species  of  fish  have  not  bothered  to  collect  common  species.  Barbs,  danios,  loaches  were   the  main  targets  and  we  have  managed  to  catch  many  of  them.  More  details  of  the  trip  coming  tomorrow.  We  had  11  cameras  with  us  with  plentyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy  of  memory  space,  so  keep  watching  this  thread.

I,  in  the  mean  time,  will  have  a  hot  bath  to  kill  the  pain.   Thumb Up
