The pictures of the mosses I have uploaded r considered rare in the hobby.
I bought them from a pvt.collector who is very choosy abt.his buyers.
I had to answer series of questions. he checked my knowledge only then agreed to sell because he cares a lot abt. his plants n mosses. The guy has 8 aquariums each above 100 ltrs full of rare plants n mosses. Has automatic water changing system, chiller, CO2, proper lighting for each aquarium. This guy understands a lot abt.plants because he works in this area.
He got the plants from abroad some 2 yrs ago with proper quarantine, inspection n permission to avoid transfer of certain viruses. These mosses have come from different countires. They're 100% aquatic grown emmersed.
The pvt.collector paid a lot of money for each moss he has above 25 diff.mosses I chose the ones I liked the most. Of course paid for every moss believe me they're not cheap but on the other hand they're very difficult to acquire. We both arrived to an agreement on a certain amount for all the plants n mosses. Both were happy from the transaction. Neither of us felt that the other person took advantage of him it was a win win situation.
I have other mosses like fissidens fontanus, christmas moss, flame moss, weeping moss, taiwan moss, peacock moss, Regular pellia or Monosoleum Tenerum, Round pellia, Mini pellia also known as coral moss or riccardia chamedryfolia, n the strongest of all Java moss.
As long as u keep the water clean, basic fertilization, temp. bet 18-26 degrees, PH abt.7 good lighting around 0.5 w/l do not move the mosses around the aquarium very often they grow well.
When we aquire new plants or mosses we should take into acc.that it takes the moss/plant a month to get used to its new surroundings so have patience.
Rony11, in your photo is not FISSIDENS SP.CAMEROON, it Plagiochilaceae sp. Cameroon. This name was given to me by the seller if he or the person who sold to him made a mistake no idea.
AMBLYSTEGIACEAE SP. MANAUS-correct, QUEEN MOSS is not the correct name, coined by a person not related to any collection or introduction into the aquarium culture of this species. Same thing the name was given to me by the seller.
Rony11 on your picture is not visible:
Microsorum sp. Real Narrow
Microsorum sp.Broad leaf-Tropica
MICROSORUM NARROW K
I have no taken pictures of all the ferns I have only the ones I saw really special. The others r in the aquarium too.
