Fantastic  Bhushan. That's  quiet  an  enviable  list.

Can  you  provide  more  details  on  the  maintenance  part?  What  has  been  your  observation  in  the  growth  rate  when  you  have  them  emersed?

Thanks  Prem.  This  is  a  regular  20G  aquarium  dimensions  30"  x  12"  x  12"  covered  with  glass  cover.   55W  CF  6700K  .  The  water  is  maintained  at  2".
I  mist  it  two  times  a  day.  I  don't  measure  humidity  but  its  maintained  low  as  I  have  observed  with  slightly  low  humidity  the  crypts  send  out  more  sturdy  leaves.
Substrate  is  mostly  mixture  of  used   Amazonia  II  and  Sand  or  Pure  Amazonia  II  depending  on  the  type  of  crypt  species.

 Bhushan

Thanks  Bhushan.  Have  you  used  any  of  the  plants  that  you  have  grown  emersed  into  submerged  conditions.  Where  there  any  challenges  you  faced,  like  melting?

 I

Yes  ,  Camy  I  have  used  emersed  grown  crypts  in  my  tanks  before.  Its  just  the  regular  melting  of  emersed  leaves  that  will  happen.  If  I  have  extra  crypts  which  I  have  to  maintain  emersed  for  future  use  in  a  setup  I  keep  them  at  maximum  humidity  emersed.  That  way  they  still  maintain  their  submerged  grown  soft  leaves.

huge  collection  and  great  seeing  them  all  green  and  healthy.
why  have  you  provided  mosses  on  the  roots  for  some  of  the  crypts???

all  i  knew  about  was  crypt  wendtii....pretty  surprised  about  all  these  varieties  and  i  feel  the  neccesity  to  educate  myself  more  about  the  species  atleat  some  more  than  what  i  know.

Thanks  mudjawd!  The  moss  is  there  to  maintain  the  humidity  in  the  soil.  Helps  if  I  forget  to  mist  it  once  in  a  while.  There  are  more  than  60  know  species  of  Cryptocoryne.  You  will  find  this  species  more  and  more  interesting  and  challenging  to  keep  if  you  dwell  into  it.  The  flowers  are  really  beautiful.

 Few  of  my  queries,

Were  these  plants  grown  emersed  from  the  very  beginning?  If  no,  then  what  were  the  changes  that  happened  to  the  plant  when  transforming  from  submerged  to  emersed  growth?  Is  there  any  changes  in  the  leaf/plant  structure?  What  was  the  phases  of  transformation?

 In  emersed  growth,

How  fast  the  plants  are  growing?  How  fast  are  they  multiplying  if  at  all?

Thanks  Deb.  Most  of  the  plants  were  grown  submerged  when  I  received  them  but  some  were  obtained  emersed.  Converting  a  submerged  plant  to  emersed  growth  is  more  difficult  in  my  experience.  It  also  varies  a  lot  from  species  to  species.  Yes  there  is  definitely  change  in  the  leaves. Some  crypt  species  send  out  more  bullated  leaves  when  grown  emersed  some  show  a  drastic  change  in  height.  During  the  transition  period  the  humidity  is  to  be  maintained  such  that  its  not  too  high  or  not  too  low. The  plant  will  slowly  shed  the  submerged  leaves  and  send  out  more  sturdy  emersed  leaves.  The  growth  and  multiplication  depends  on  the  species.  The  Cryptocoryne  cordata  var.  'Rosanervig'   has  been  the  slowest  sending  out  2  new  leaves  in  last  3  months.

Thanks  for  the  compliments  Tirtha!   The  Wabi  Kusa  is  maintained  in  the  pictured  tumbler  with  a  plastic  foil  on  it  to  maintain  humidity.  I  mist  it  with  water  once  a  day  or  once  every  other  day.  This  is  place  in  my  living  room  under  a  26  W  table  lamp  which  is  turned  on  and  off  as  per  the  requirement.  No  fixed  schedule  for  it.

Mayur,  nothing  special  in  this  but  I  learned  it  after  a  couple  of  failures.  I  had  used  Amazonia  II  which  had  about  10  %  Bright  Sand  in  it.  Just  mist  it  with  water  till  its  adequately  soaked.  Roll  it  into  a  ball  and  set  it  out  to  dry.  Don't  add  any  plants  now.  You  will  have  to  compleately  dry  the  ball  to  the  very  center  as  this  is  what  will  hold  the  ball  in  shape.  If  there  is  moisture  inside  the  ball  will  disintegrate  in  contact  with  water.  Once  you  are  convinced  the  ball  is  dry  mist  it  with  water.  Then  with  a  sharp  tweezer  start  planting.

Cryptocoryne  pontederiifolia  flowered  for  me  last  week  approximately  four  months  after  planting.  This  C  pontederiifolia  has  reddish  purple  tinge  over  the  upper  side  of  the  leaves  and  slightly  reddish  underside.
Here  are  some  of  the  pictures  of  the  flower.

I  had  another  surprise  today  when  the  Cryptocoryne  usteriana  'Red'  flower  opened  after  almost  a  2  weeks  of  wait.  I  have  posted  a  picture  of  this  plant  before.
 Some  pictures  to  share.
