 Folks,

A  word  of  caution  on  when  you  are  switching  off  the  pump  at  night.  The  water  pressure  burst  open  the  tube  connected  to  the  bubble  counter  and  I  woke  up  early  morning  to  see  quarter  of  the  tank  empty  with  water  all  over  in  my  living  room,  even  Vijayan  faced  the  same  problem.

 Regards,
 Prem

 Hi  Prem,

Do  you  mean  air  line  tube  popped  out  of  the  pipe  nipple  ?  Or,  did  the  pipe  really  burst  ?

Prem  to  avoid  the  problem  you  faced,  move  the  bubble  counter  above  the  tank  water  level.
It  could  well  have  just  been  that  the  tubing  was  not  properly  inserted  in  the  bubble  counter.

 Madan  Sir,

JAQNO  has  a  similar  thing  called  a  CO2  Mixer.  With  this  we  dont  need  to  do  any  modification.  I  am  attaching  a  few  pictures  of  it  for  you  to  have  a  look.
I  am  not  sure  if  I  would  use  it.  The  bad  part  is  that  the  instructions  are  in  chinese.  Theres  the  input  and  outlet  vents.  Theres  one  for  the  CO  inlet.  There's  another  one  which  I  have  no  idea  what  it  is  for  .  I  got  this  one  from  Aquastar  last  weekend.

(  and  sorry  for  the  wrong  sequence  of  Pictures  !!!  )

 Hope  this  helps.

 Thanks  and  Regards,
 Ravi.M

It's  similar  to  what  we  have  modified  but  without  any  valves.

The  smaller  connection  with  the  screw  on  top  is  a  safety  valve,  you  could  also  use  it  to  vent  air  when  starting  up.  I  think  you'll  have  to  pull  on  the  screw  to  open  the  valve.  It  will  be  spring  loaded,  it  will  close  when  released.

The  other  small  connection  is  the  CO2  inlet.

The  Green  pipes  are  for  conveying  water.  I  would  use  the  connection  with  shorter  pipe  as  water  inlet  and  the  longer  green  pipe  as  water  outlet.

I  would  remove  the  shorter  internal  green  pipe  and  use  the  same  connection  as  water  inlet  to  increase  contact  time.

 Hope  these  instructions  are  better.

 Enjoy!

Thank  you  so  much,  Madan  Sir.

The  instructions  are  really  helpful  and  now  I  know  how  to  get  this  CO2  mixer  to  work.

Ravi  and  I  picked  up  the  Co2  mixer  today.  I  am  going  to  use  it  on  my  2  foot  ADA  tank  and  Ravi  is  gonna  use  it  in  his  new  4  footer.  Will  post  the  details  of  the  setup  in  a  weeks  time.

 Cheers,
 Prem
