 Dear  Sandeep
Please  ignore  our  friend's   ROFL  and  continue  with  your  efforts  on  bringing  awareness  to  those  who  would  like  to  tread  on  this  venture.
I  have  been  selling  art  online  for  more  than  a  decade  and  I  have  used  online  transactions  to  sell  paintings  and  also  have  bought  paintings  from  different  countries  with  my  credit  card  and  also  using  Paypal.

 Dear  Sandeepbhai,

Yes,  the  topic  is  on  open  grounds  actually,  there  are  people  who  have  different  temperaments,  different  financial  status  and  different  perspectives.

In  our  country,  espcially  in  metros,  many  people  have  CCs,  While  stating  a  particular  case,  you  are  encouraging  anybody  and  everybody  to  take  steps  without  balancing  the  facts  on  both  sides.

Your  implications  will  throw  light,  sure,

but  what  if  a  whole  mob  of  CC  holders  rush  to  court  on  your  lines?  This  topic  is  highly  provocative,

can  you  imagine,  the  consequences,  where  all  the  Banks  and  CC  gateways  will  come  up  with  a  harsh  solution,  and  some  small  timer  can  suffer  a  big  blow....

Some  things  be  better  burried,  because  it  will  come  out  like  tsunami..I  am  sure  you  will  now  understand  that  these  topics  are  crucial  onse  and  we  are  on  a  forum  where  there  could  be  kids  reading  such  hot  conversations...

Great  post  Sandeep  Raghuvanshi,   Thumb Up

We  have  to  tolerate  men  of  men  of  vastly  differing  I.Q's  and  various  temperaments  just  for  the  love  of  the  hobby  on  this  forum.

You  have  to  agree  that  the  shared  common  love  for  this  hobby  binds  both  nuts  and  genius  together.

A  strong  and  strange  bond  indeed.

Please  continue  despite  the  fanatical  attacks.

I  too  use  online  shopping  a  lot,  hence  these  are  the  precautions  that  I  normally  take.
Online  transaction  cannot  be  avoided,  but  everyone  has  to  take  precautions,  so  that  they  do  not  suffer.
In  normal  circumstances  when  you  go  shopping  you  select  the  goods  and  then  make  payment.  In  online  transcations  you  are  relying  entirely  on  goodwill  of  trader.
BTW  one  more  thing  that  we  can  use  is  to  verify  the  background  history  of  the  seller.
In  case  of  big  online  shopping  sites  this  is  not  a  problem  as  they  are  more  worried  about  losing  their  customers  than  than  trying  to  cajole  out  500  bucks  from  me.
However  in  case  of  smaller  sellers  we  should  first  check  out  their  antecedents  before  buying.
One  way  of  doing  that  would  that  in  sites  like  ebay  etc.  they  keep  a  history  of  that  particular  dealer.

NOOOOO!  Dont,  I'll  give  you  another  example...

We  have  numerous  naive  CC  holders,  like  truck  owners  come  drivers.  These  normaly  carry  CC's  for  fuel  on  highways..

 Take  a  situation-

3  CC  holders  above  rich  class  well  educated
5  CC  holders  Â above  rich  class  averagely  educated
4  CC  holders  middle  class  average  &  well  educated  both
8  CC  holders  who  are  like  truck  dirvers....  knaive

club  them  as  a  mob  and  imagine  the  outcome.  Who  will  suffer  the  most?  middle  class  &  truck  drivers...  Why?  because  in  these  kinda  wars  the  rich  class  will  just  press  the  escape  button  and  run  away,  while  rest  will  not  know  what  to  do,  because  they  are  just  followers  not  initiators.

there  could  be  people  on  this  forum,  who  would  get  pumped  up  in  anguish,  but  later,  will  repent  if  your  views  were  exercised  in  refute  to  challenge  disputed  CC  transactions.  Dont  spread  fire  my  friend..

 Dear  Sandeepbhai

Look  what  you  have  done  to  yourself....  you  have  opened  up  your  own  actions  on  this  open  forum  and  have  disclosed  how  many  and  how  often  you  commit  CC  transactions...  All  the  time  you  have  mentioned  "I  too  use  online  shopping  a  lot"...

Just  wait  for  a  hacker  to  see  this...  then  you  will  realise  not  to  write  such  things  on  open  forums.  The  net  is  full  of  opportunist  and  you  are  so  innocent,  that  you  will  fall  into  trouble  by  disclosing  such  actions.  This  is  my  last  post  to  you  my  friend.

stop  it  and  be  safe...or  your  wife  will  also  repent  with  you.....

I  think  this  is  something  People  need  to  know  so  they  dont  fall  prey  to  such  frauds.

 Dear  All,

The  postings  here  are  good  instructions,  but  we  need  to  be  more  efficient  and  more  informed  with  respect  to  the  place  we  are  and  the  laws  governing
 that  place.

Please  have  a  read  on  the  articles  below  about  general  instructions
 on  using  CC  online:

 Online  Credit  Card  Precautions:
 http://ezinearticles.com/?Online-Credit-Card-Precautions&id=80811

How  to  Protect  Online  Transactions  Through  the  Law:
 http://www.ehow.com/how_2040823_protect-online-transactions-through-law.html

One  has  to  look  up  to  their  particular  state's  Â Cyber  Crime  Unit  and  its  regulations.

As  having  some  sort  of  experience  in  Computer  Forensics,  I  would  suggest  and  recommend  the  people  to  be  aware  of  the  rules  with  respect  to  their  state  and  how  much  their  respective  cyber  crime  unit  can  help  them  in  that  case.

In  order  to  organize  and  prepare  evidence,  you  need  to  have  a  computer  forensics  personnel  prepare  your  case  or  else  your  evidence  how  much  ever  good  can  be  dismissed  in  the  court  under  in  appropriate  handling  of  evidence  thus  making  it  barred  from  the  court.

Please  do  not  fight/show  immaturity  publicly  on  IAH,
 please  take  it  on  PMs,
we  appreciate  not  to  read  negative  personal  opinions  on  IAH,
it  does  not  make  peoples  day  to  read  discouragements  and  avoidable  arguments.

Brainstorming  is  good  but  please  refrain  from  sarcasm  to  make  peoples
stay  on  IAH  healthy  and  positive.

 regards

 Dan

 Hello  Dan,  good  morning

 very  good!

Thanks  for  telling  me  that  there  is  also  a  forensic  proportion  in  computers  too.

What  I  realy  meant  by  criticising  is...  that  people  get  carried  away  and  give  their  own  personal  information  on  such  forums  like  ours.  This  is  harmful  for  them  and  us.  A  lot  of  peoples's  back-ground  is  unknown  to  us.  Yes  true!  you  will  all  say  that  we  get  good  knowledge  and  we  learn  from  such  conversations.

But  there  are  topics  which  are  very  sensitive  and  delicate  issues,  and  some  people  deliberately  push  their  knowledge,  inorder  to  trap  innocent  people  into  conversations  and  find  out  what  they  are  doing.  These  could  be  "devils  in  disguise"  (not  pointing  anyone  here  please,  so  dont  wear  the  hat)

In  this  case  already  our  friend  has  disclosed  that  he  had  lost  the  case,  reading  his  posts  seems  that  he  was  just  waiting  to  burst  out  with  this  information,  to  as  if,  unburden  his  heart.  Its  good  to  know  all  this,  but  there  is  a  better  way  and  better  place.

As  you  rightly  said  rather  than  showing  sarcasm  on  open  forum  it'd  better  be  on  PM,  but  then  why  even  have  this  topic  on  open  forum,  this  can  be  also  discussed  on  PM...

I  truly  believe  and  support  IAH's  spirit  in  giving  a  chance  to  our  people,  but  still,  ......

 kind  regds

Good  links  Pretham  &  Dan.  Thumb Up
 Knowledge  gained  is  fraud  prevented.
One  more  precaution  that  people  can  take  is  to  regularly  check  their  credit  card  accounts,  specially  for  the  cards  that  are  not  used  very  frequently,  this  will  help  if  your  credit  card  no  is  used  without  your  knowledge,  and  you  ask  the  credit  card  co  to  help  you  out.
