Now  i  find  hat  my  tank  is  having  snails  which  are  long,  increasing  in  number,  i  have  4  tiger  loaches  to  control  the  snails,  but  of  no  use,  kindly  help  me,  what  i  should    do  to  get  rid  of  the  snails

 Hi  Shyam:

It  would  be  of  more  help  if  you  describe  the  snails,  how  they  look,  etc.

Nevertheless,  the  best  snail  eaters  I've  found  effective  are  "Clown  Loaches"...They  take  care  of  all  your  snail  problems...

One  more  effective  way  is  to  remove  them  manually...this  however...will  give  best  results  over  a  period  of  time...
 Bye,

Also,  next  time  you  add  any  plant  to  your  tank,  treat  it  with  a  mild  solution  of  bleach  or  potassium  permanagate  for  15-20  min.

I'd  suggest  use  'Potash  Alum'  to  clean  plants...
 Works  best  and  effective...

 Nag,

I  have  used  Potash  alum,  Potassium  permanganate,  bleach  all  .  Potash  alum  and  Potassium  permanganate  both  are  very  good  and  effective  to  kill  all  the  germs,  snails  etc..  but  not  the  algae.  As  you  know  most  of  the  plants  we  purchase  contains  some  of  the  other  algae.

With  bleach  you  can  get  rid  of  algae,  germs,  snails.

 regards

 But  not  Snails  eggs!    Smile
Potash  Alum  is  the  a  sure  shot  way  of  getting  rid  of  the  eggs  also.

I  have  never  used  Pot.Permanganate  for  sterilising  plants  so  I'll  reserve  my  comment.

 Hi

 Shyam

From  my  experience  snails  has  to  be  removed  manually. Here  what  I  do,  after  the  lights  off, switch  it  on  after  an  hour  or  so  in  the  Night,  you  will  find  that  most    of  them  or  out  on  all  over  the  place, take  some  energy  drinks  and  start  removing, repeat  it  when  ever  you  are  prepared.

 Cheers
 Sundar

Madan,  Pot  permagnate,  irritates  snails  and  other  inverts,  hence  they  leave  the  surface  of  the  plants.
If  you  want  to  hunt  for  earthworms  in  garden  soil,  add  a  mild  solution  of  pot.  permanagte  to  the  soil  and  after  a  few  min,  lots  of  earthworms  and  even  snails  will  surface  out.
Snail  eggs,  I  agree  are  not  killed  by  pot.  permagnate.
