First  check  your  Watr  kH.  If  it  is  more  than  4  then  you  will  have  a  hard  luck  growing  them.  I  lost  them  due  to  my  high  kH  level.  Otherwise  plant  care  is  same  as  any  stem  plants.  It's  a  relatively  High  light  plants.

Seetha  ,  Three  thing  you  need  to  look  out  for  GH  and  KH  should  not  exceed  5,  lots  of  light  and  Co2.   Aquasoil  helps  it  a  lot.  If  it  does  not  like  your  set  up  it  will  show  signs  pretty  soon.  Also  add  Fe  regularly  after  stems  show  sign  of  acclimatization.  In  case  of  insufficient  Fe  the  crown  will  start  whitening.  IMO  a  very  difficult  plant  to  incorporate  in  an  aquascape  unless  you  plan  your  aquascape  around  it.  This  is  now  known  as  Syngonanthus  sp.  “  Belem”.

 Thanks
 Bhushan

 Hey  Bhushan

Thanks  for  those  details,  KH  im  pretty  sure  is  not  more  than  5,  GH  is  something  which  i  will  check  today.  Soil  is  ADA  Amazonia  II,  Pressurized  CO2=Yes,  High  Light=Yes,  Dosing=ADA  Brighty  K  and  ADA  Green  Brighty  Step  1  ....  hope  this  is  good  enough  to  provide  all  the  nutrients  this  beautiful  plant  needs   Smile

Sounds  good.  Don't  forget  the  FE.  Step  1  does  not  have  Fe.  Try  to  supplement  with  something  like  Seachem  Florish  Iron.  If  you  can  get  your  hands  on  ADA  ECA.  It  will  help  it  a  lot.

 Hi  Seetha,

Pictures  of  Tonina  Sp  Belam  in  my  Tanks.  I  have  them  in  an  ordunary  substrate  tank  and  ADA  tank.  They  are  growing  really  nice  in  both  the  tanks  without  any  special  care.  I  have  not  checked  KH  or  PH  in  both  the  tanks.

 ADA  substrate  and  EI  dosing.

Ordinary  Substrate,  CO2  and  EI  dosing  with  Fe  (thanks  to  Raghu).

 Cheers

 Vince
