 Hello

 Neil

I  have  them  from  about  3  months  now  and  they  are  about  4  inches.

Got  it  from  a  local  LFS.  I  was  told  they  were  imported  recently.

I  just  liked  them  and  bought  them,  just  like  most  of  my  fishes.

Very  friendly.  I  hand  feed  them.

I  was  told  they  are  blue  cobalt  or  something  like  that.  Cannot  remember.

 Thank  you

 Niranjan

100%  right.  He  might  be  starring  in  the  next  sequel  of  Gone  with  the  wind.
The  sequel  will  be  called  "Gone  with  the  Fish".

Any  idea  who  will  replace  the  legendary  actress  Vivian  Leigh  who  incidently  was  born  and  brought  up  in  West  Bengal.

 Niranjan

I  very  much  doubt  they  are  wild  caught  Niranjan.  They  could  well  be.  The  reason  I  am  skeptical  is  that  wild  caught  discus  very  rarely  make  it  to  India  and  that  too  to  LFS.  Whatever  is  brought  in  is  strictly  on  order  and  very  expensive.

You  may  be  lucky  if  due  to  some  mistake  in  labelling  you  ended  up  with  wild  caught  discus.

 First  things  first  deworm  them.

 Hi  Niranjan:

If  you  got  them  from  'Abundant',  mate;  you  better  ask  "Carey"...
The  consignment  from  which  we  all  bought  those  lovely  discus  are  from  Carey...

They  still  have  a  long  way  to  go  to  show  their  true  pattern  and  colour...Hang  on  mate,  hang  on...  Smile

Well,  I  did  ask  Carey,  then  he  said  it  is  either  the  Blue  SS  OR  Red/Brown  Turqs...

 Bye,

 Hello

 Madan,

I  agree  with  you.  While  I  was  looking  for  alencer,  I  mostly  came  across  these  strains  classified  under  wild.  Knowing  wilds,  they  require  a  lot  of  attention  and  mine  donot  get  any.  They  must  have  been  bred  in  captivity.

 regards
