Good to know you had such a wonderful child hood Ravi, and it surely helped you to become one successful, caring and fine human specimen. Albeit all are not so lucky...take my instance, all I can say is that there it was common till cricket, kite flying and goli. From there onwards helped by fads, it waded into Chicks, rock'n'roll, concerts, late nights, travels so on and so forth...but after all these years I find that I have not done any thing bad or more importantly, I have not become a bad person....what has happened is that I have learned to respect these sides and distant myself from them. Now that I have traveled far from that life style and do not even smoke, I remain confidant that this life style also has some good lessons if you know when and where to draw the line...
Just 2 pence from my experiences for all of you..
I think it is a damn good thread as you get the scope to get to know each other more closely and understand their back ground.

Ravi
Its nice to know about you being recognized in your own school after more than a decade.
Let me tell you my story during school days .............
Since my early school days (4th, 5th, 6th and 7th std) at Indian Preparatory School, Bangalore i was doodling a lot on the paper and my history teacher used to make me draw map of India on the board during history class to explain and also when she was teaching in other girls only classrooms, i was invited to draw on the board and run back to my own class............
After my graduation at KLE college, the first job i got was at Bishop Cotton Boys School as a Creative Arts Instructor ..............
Guess who I meet after more than 13 years at the ASK meet, one of my student; now world-famous Adipo................

How true. He was explaining how you used to pinch him (and others students) painfully under the arm.
You had a thumb nail grown extra long specifically for the purpose.
Glad to have noticed that you are no longer keeping the long nails.
The fear of the Guru is the beginning of wisdom. No wonder some of your students have become world famous.

Yes, some time we felt we are in cage, because of that DISCIPLINE But because of that , we succeeded in our life.Discipline
The word discipline, unfortunately most of the time is understood as regimenting somebody to do what you will. If I say, or if you tell somebody, that he needs to be disciplined, he understands it as that he needs to be punished or he needs to be cut down to size. The word discipline does not mean that. Discipline fundamentally means that one is open to learn, one is open to look.
If that sense of discipline has to come, we have to bring a huge sense of involvement into the activity that they are performing. If that sense of involvement is not there, one does not learn, one just works to the extent it is necessary. So when you bring a huge sense of involvement, you will see every day they keep coming back with new ideas of what they have picked up in the same work that they have been doing.
so i salute my masters

No worry Umesh. I had to pry this information out of Adip. He is ever grateful to his teachers who guided him along the straight and narrow path and taught him the long term benefits of hard work.
