Members  from  various  parts  of  the  city  /  outer  towns  may  report  such  possible  places,  if  they  feel  the  access  to  fishing  is  not  difficult.

Actually  speaking,  scouting  trips  are  turning  out  to  be  great  collection  trips.  We(Balaji,  Aadhi,  Jithin  and  Me)  checked  out  three  lakes  in  chromepet  and  Tambaram  areas,  7  more  are  left  out.  We  need  to  make  time  for  checking  out  the  others  too.  One  good  thing  is,  these  lakes  are  thriving  with  native  fishes  and  no  sign  of  tilapia  any  where.  The  bad  thing  is,  we  canot  go  as  a  group,  i  mean  more  than  10  or  so,  as  these  places  in  which  you  can  accees  the  lake  are  very  narrow  or  polluted  with  PMDD.  Will  write  about  the  collection  we  did  on  our  last  trip  some  time  this  week  and  if  anyone  has  even  the  slightest  idea  on  going  for  a  scouting  trip  do  let  us  know  we  will  plan  accordingly.

Last  Sunday,  I  went  to  Nilapattu  Pelican  Sanctuary  in  AP.  There  are  quite  a  few  interesting  ponds  /  tanks  /  small  lakes  &  streams  on  the  way.  I  think  it  will  take  3  or  4  days  worth  of  checking  /  exploring  etc.

 Rajeshwaran  :

I  remember  Jithin  and  me  netting  a  few  Tilapis  in  the  final  location.  Il  post  some  fish  pics  later  in  the  night.

As  Rajeshwaran  said,  it  would  not  be  advisable   to  go  collecting  there  as  a  group.  Other  than  bad  routes  and  smelly  pathways,  these  are  also  very  small  spots.  Easily  vulnerable  to  over  collecting.

Im  still  on  the  lookout  for  more  spots.  hoping  to  hit  a  couple  this  weekend.
