Seetha,  why  don't  you  put  a  Black  Spot  on  the  front  glass  to  protect  it  from  my  envious  eyes?  (Buri  Najar  Wale  tera  Muh  kala   ROFL  )

   ROFL

Tirtha  -  Thaks  for  the  suggestion  Tirtha.  Initially  that  was  the  idea,  if  you  see  the  earlier  pictures  there  was  no  wood  on  the  right  hand  side.  But  after  lot  of  people  suggesting  that  i  put  a  pice  of  wood  on  the  right  as  well  ,  i  went  and  did  it.

Also  the  reason  why  i  put  Vivipara  is  because  there  is  Ludwiga  Arcuata  on  the  left  hand  side  which  will  eventually  grow  right  till  the  top  and  be  visible  and  that  would  make  the  left  look  densely  planted  and  right  side  bare,  hence  put  Vivipara.

Will  wait  for  the  Ludwiga  to  grow  out  and  then  take  a  call  on  it,  but  i  have  been  thinking  of  getting  rid  of  the  piece  of  wood  on  the  right  for  a  long  time  now,  maybe  replace  it  with  some  mid  ground  plants.

If  you  want  to  show  the  Bogwood  as  a  tree  falling  on  the  river  bed,  then  you  have  to  keep  everything  lower  than  the  wood  structure  height.  Otherwise  they  will  take  up  all  the  attention  and  the  tree  won't  be  so  much  visible.  You  can  mow  down  the  vivipara  in  a  triangular  shape  to  make  the  slope  much  visible.

Give  me  a  high  resolution  picture  buddy,  so  I  can  paint  them  well.   Razz

I  do  not  tlike  the  right  side  of  the  tank...it  lacks  parity  with  the  left...but  I  appreciate  the  health  of   the  overall  tank.  Very  commendable  to  say  the  least.  Keep  it  coming.

Also  give  me  some  tips  on  how  to  maintain  rummynose  tetras,  it  seems  that  I  am  a  dud  when  it  comes  to  keeping  these  fishes  happy...irespective  of  how  much  I  like  them.

Seetharam...your  scape  is  everything  which  my  humble  planted  setup  in  not   Chuckle  ...its  great!!!

its  progressed  great  since  you  started....also  like  you  said  patience  &  visualisation  are  virtues  which  are  a  must  for  a  great  scape.....and  you  seem  to  have  tons  of  both   Thumbs Up

there  seems  to  be  lot  of  talk  going  on  about  cutting  and  trimming....for  newbies  like  me  any  plant  cuttings  are  like  mannah  from  heaven...gives  me  an  excuse  to  drop  by  your  home  too.....  Clapping  ..will  give  you  a  buzz  soon...

I  was  there  at  Seetharam's  place  last  weekend  and  saw  it  in  person  (along  with  the  BBA  also).  His  broken  arrow  is  also  doing  fine  and  if  you  put  your  hands  in,  all  the  fishes  come  running  for  feed.  My  rummy  nose  tetras  swim  in  the  opposite  direction  at  the  sight  of  my  hand.

The  tank  is  coming  up  well  and  looks  good,  he  has  some  exotic  thai  plants  also,  which  I  am  hoping  will  grow  quickly  (you  know  why?)

 Keep  going  Seetha...

 Regards

Time  for  another  update,  nothing  special  except  that  all  the  plants  and  fish  are  doing  well.  This  is  how  it  looks  as  of  today.

 Well
 Tirath  seems  to  be  right.
Alternately  you  can  trim  the  plants  to  the  height  of  wood  on  the  right.
The  focal  point  of  your  aquarium  seems  to  be  distributed  between  all  over  the  tank.
If  I  take  a  rough  diagram  of  lines  as  per  golden  ratio.  The  upper  right  &  middle  right  would  look  good  if  they  are  empty,  or  below  the  lower  red  line.
I  am  very  bad  at  illustrating,  hope  you  get  what  I  am  trying  to  say.
 something  like  this.

Ps:  The  lines  are  very  roughly  drawn  and  might  not  be  as  per  golden  ratio  but  will  give  a  brief  idea.

Ahan....  introduced  couple  more  plants??  Fine  tuning??   Smile  As  always  looking  fresh  and  beautifull.  But  think  about  the  right  hand  side  seriously.  Eyes  are  swiping  the  tank  from  left  to  right  but  not  getting  a  point  to  settle  down.

@Sandeep....  in  nature  aquarium,  you  won't  be  able  to  find  out  Focal  point  according  to  Golden  ratio  always.  But  yes....  there  has  to  be  a  focal  point  in  every  scape.

I  went  though  the  whole  thread  again,  your  photos  are  getting  better  by  the  day.
Pls  put  the  specs  of  the  photos  so  that  experts  can  comment  on  that.
I  still  feel  you  need  to  increse  shutter  speed  &  ISO,  and  keep  the  camera  slightly  tilted  downwards  or  absolute  horizontal  so  that  toplight  do  not  wash  the  picture.
At  the  angle  in  which  you  are  shooting  the  top  lights  are  making  the  rest  of  tank  look  dark
