@Sean,  avoid  multiple  threads  unless  you  are  specific  on  strains.  Time  to  stitch.

Nice  looking  Bettas.  Why  not  give  them  more  room  to  swim  about  ?

hey  venkat  they  like   to  stay  in  their   jars  and  i  have  observed  that  putting  them  in  community  tank  stresses  them  out  also  they  really  like  their  jars  cause  all  of  them  make  healthy  bubblenests

a  betta  needs  a  minimum  of  3-5  gallons  of  tank  size,  they  do  need  a  lot  of  plants,  and  comm  tanks  stress  them  when  you  have  fish  which  are  nipping  at  them  or  when  they  don't  have  enuff  space  to  hide
they  need  filtration  too  and  the  water  has  to  be  at  least  at  31c  for  temp,  and  they  are  carnivorous  fish,  the  water  has  to  shallow  and  has  to  have  the  least  current  possible

 Hi  Sean,

If  you  keep  them  with  two  males  looking  at  each  other  and  flaring  all  the  time  is  also  very  stressing  to  them.  And  as  for  a  community  tank,  unless  there  is  more  than  one  male  or  fin  nippers  in  the  tank,  they  are  generally  at  peace.

Also  cubes  are  preferable  to  jars  as  they  skew  the  light  entering  and  even  from  a  visibility  point  of  view,  they  look  better  with  flat  glass  rather  than  round  glass.

 shreyas
i  have  been  keeping  bettas  for  past  6  years  now  and  i  know  that  keeping  them  side  by  side  is  a  bad  idea  cause  it  stress  them  out  so  each  betta  has  their  own  partition  so  they  dont  keep  flaring  and  also  i  remove  the  partition  for  10-15  min  a  day  to  give  them  their  excercise

now  for  the  question  of  cubes
i  attened  to  around  30  bettas   at  atime  so  not  much  space  for  cubes  and  staying  in  bombay  the  houses  r  usually  small  so  what  ever  i  do  i  do  it  in  my  bedroom
keeping  30  bettas  in  ,  cubes  if  u  have  any  solution  to  this  plzz  let  me  know  how  u  will  house  around  30  bettas  in  cubes??

headbanger  for  your  question  i  know  bettas  need  clean  water  and  filtiring  them  in  jars  is  not  possible  so  i  sipphon  out  their  poo  everyday  with  a  syringe
i  dont  keep  them  in  comm  tanks  and  bettas  dont  need  31C
they  wont  stand  it  for  very  long  28-29C  best  for  bettas

It  would  be  better  if  you  put  some  substrate  (stone,  sand  etc)  in  the  jars.  And  also,  if  possible,  then  atleast  one  plant  (natural  or  plastic).  Bettas  like  to  hide  and  rest  around  plants.

Since  java  moss  can  grow  anywhere  and  also  without  light  (atleast  they  don't  die)  so  you  can  put  some  java  moss  in  each  tank.

A  terakota  pot  will  be  an  excellent  cave  for  them.

 Just  some  suggestions   Cheer
