If  you  planning  for  fish  collection  trip  then  this  is  not  a  good  time  as  most  of  the  water  bodies  must  be  dried  out.

This  time  is  good  for  rock,  driftwood  and  river  sand  collection.

Request  Mods  to  place  this  in  the  appropriate  forum.

Maharashtra  does  have  a  lotta  fresh  water  streams/rivers.   Also  summer  is  the  best  time  for  any  fish  collection  trips  as  the  water  will  be  shallow  and  comparably  easier  to  catch  when  it  is  flooding.   To  begin  with  you  just  have  to  go  in  search  of  small  streams  and  more  preferably  irrigation  cannals.
And,  trips  wont  kick  off  if  u  expect  someone  to  suggest  you  something.   Just  fill  your  car/bike  and  go  in  search  of  water.   Thumb Up

 Dear  madhu,

 I  agree  with  you.

that  the  reason  i  have  suggested  national  Park  since  there  are  streems  still  running  and  also  its  complete  forest  and  i  am  sure  that  we  will  definately  get  some  thing  there.

the  other  reason  if  that  we  will  get  to  meet  other  members  and  get  to  now  them  as  well.

 regards,

 Clive

Getting  live  stock  outta  reserve  forests  could  end  up  in  jail.   But  those  streams  will  always  run  out  of  the  park  and  you  can  check  those  just  on  the  outskirts  of  the  reserve  area.   And  more  important,  don't  expect  a  diversity  of  fishes  in  every  trip.   Some  times  you  may  spend  all  day  finding  gambusia  or  sometimes  you  can  expect  nothing  and  find  a  new  canarensis  niche.
End  of  the  day  what  matters  the  most  is  making  a  trip!
