 Great  job  dude...

btw  you  mentioned  earlier  in  your  post  that  you  used  Dow  Corning  Sealant.

Was  it  Dow  Corning  General  purpose  sealant?

I  saw  these  tubes  in  the  hardware  shop,  but  was  not  sure  whether  these  were  for  making  tanks.

Btw  how  many  tubes  did  you  need  for  a  tank  this  size?

 Hi  Percy,

Fill  the  tank  to  the  brim  almost  overflowing.  Have  a  rope  tied  around  the  tank  just  to  ensure  that  the  glass  is  held  in  case  of  leakage.  If  water  leaks  at  the  halfway  mark,  it  just  means  the  pasting  was  not  done  correctly.  But  at  the  full  mark,  it  is  water  pressure  which  is  going  to  test  the  bonding.

Leave  this  as  is  for  3  days  and  check  for  glass  bending  at  the  centre.  If  it  bends  more  than  3mm,  then  having  a  brace  would  be  a  wise  choice.

As  long  as  the  structural  integrity  of  the  silicone  is  not  disturbed,  you  can  scrape  off  the  excess.

I  feel,  its  realy  bonded  the  glass  very  tight,  because,  when  I  scraped  the  silicone  on  1  edge  slightly,  it  didnt  even  get  scratched.  I  am  afraid  if  there  is  any  shrinkage  between  the  bond,  then  it  will  peel  off  from  between  the  joint  and  leak.  So  I'd  rather  not  touch  it.  (  Surprised  or  else  I  will  be  in  big  trouble  this  time  Wink  )

this  is  12  mm  glass,  I  had  neveh  seen  a  bulge  earlier...but  I  have  decided  to  brace  it  anyway

As  I  was  removing  the  masking  tape,  I  found  that  the  silicon  has  properly  bordered,  very  much  straight  in  orderly  fashion,  so  it  looks  as  if  I  used  a  ruler  while  gluing...

I  want  to  know  if  I  can  use  5  pcs  of  1  inch  thermocol  and  place  the  tank  on  it?  Or  -  If  I  get  a  5  inch  thick  thermocol  itself  and  place  the  Tank  on  it?

Is  the  tank  going  to  be  on  the  floor  or  on  a  stand.  In  any  case,  a  single  thermocole  piece  of  1"  thickness  should  do  the  job.

Its  gonna  be  on  the  floor,  BUT!  I  want  to  rise  it  about  4  inches  so  that  I  can  roll  our  the  water  without  a  pump,  the  tank  volume  will  be  approximately  79  gallons  (US  GAL)...  This  is  very  important,
