Aznan  -  in  my  opinion  if  there  is  nothing  wrong  with  your  tank,  its  not  mandatory  to  test  your  water.  Few  things  i  would  suggest  though  to  keep  your  water  condition  good  are  below.

 1.  Since  you  have  a  flowerhorn,  these  guys  are  messy  eaters,  would  recommned  a  30%  water  change  twice  a  week.

 2.  Sometimes  there  will  be  Chlorine  and/or  Chloramine  in  the  tap  water  depending  on  the  source,  its  advisable  to  use  Chlorine/Chlaramine  remover  when  you  do  a  water  change.

 3.  Have  a  good  filter  in  place,  preferably  a  canister  filter  with  lots  of  Biological  Media.

 @  Aznan

As  Seetharam  said, get  a  good  filter  running  24x7  .  And  get  ready  with  a  new  bigger  tank  for  your  FH.

Aznan  -  Same  rule  applies  as  i  have  mentioned  earlier  for  Goldfish  as  well.  One  word  of  caution.  If  you  are  going  in  for  a  new  tank,  then  ensure  that  the  tank  is  cycled  properly  before  introducing  fish  in  it.

 Hello

I  am  not  an  expert  but  here  is  my  little  bit,,  someone  correct  me  if  i  am  wrong.

As  said  by  others  testing  is  not  mandatory  but  you  should  keep  a  watch  on  the  visual  condition  and  signs  of  water  degradation,,,

Like  i  faced  with  my  tank  like   foul  smell  of  water,  or  bubble  formation  at  the  water  surface,  cloudy  water,,

Keep  a  watchful  eye  on  these  signs  of  water  degradation  to  take  corrective  measures,,  else  you  are  fine.

The  experienced  users  should  correct  me  if  i  am  wrong.

 Vikas
