I  added  a  fan  to  my  4  footer.  The  temp  is  down  to  25(not  much  lower  than  what  it  was)
Used  some  paper  clips  to  fit  it  to  the  tank  braces.

 Just  thinking  aloud.
Can  you  bend  the  metal  clip  at  a  90  degree  angle  to  the  black  plastic  hold  (I  think  this  bend  happens  naturally)
and  then  forcibly  bend  the  curved  part  with  tongs  or  soemthing  again  90  degrees?
So  if  you  do  this  only  to  the  2  clips  on  each  side  you  could  get  some  elevation  i  guess.

 Exactly  what  I  did  ;)

But  the  left  brace  of  my  tank  is  over  the  back  brace.  So  though  the  2  clips  on  the  left  brace  are  lying  flat  and  the  one  on  the  back  brace  is  bent  at  90  degrees,  the  elevation  I  got  over  and  above  the  6mm  height  difference  due  to  the  braces  overlapping  each  other  is  very  minimum.  So  I  guess  I  have  to  add  some  plastic  bar  or  something.  Will  update  in  the  evening.

 What  is  your  fan  wattage?

Is  that  45degree  angle  really  necessary?  I'm  using  my  fan  horizontally,  as  making  that  angle  is  bit  difficult  for  me   Smile  Could  u  please  elaborate  the  method  of  adding  metal  strip.

Btw,  I  think  u  hav  shooters  of  green  lily  all  over  your  tank.  Those  will  take  all  the  lights,  other  plants  may  suffer,  think  about  that.  And  u  can  use  a  black  tape  to  cover  the  red  wire   Thumb Up

@tigermath-Keeping  the  fan  at  an  angle  will  increase  the  area  over  which  the  air  will  hit  and  hence  more  evaporation  and  hence  more  cooling.

 It  says  0.1  Amps.
 Works  directly  on  AC  230.

Will  have   to  do  the  Black  tape  stuff  later.

I  have  added  one  more  paper  clip  and  to  that  I  have  attached  a  small  strip  of  metal  that  comes  off  PC  cabinets  when  you  use  some  of  the  openings  in  them.  This  is  bent  in  a  P  shape  rotated  90  degrees  to  the  left.  The  fans  rim  rests  on  this  piece,  thus  creating  an  angle...

That  green  lily  is  just  at  one  corner.  Planning  to  add  more  lights  too.
