The  reason  some  tubes  cost  more  or  less  than  others  is  due  to  the  Lumens.

Basic  single  question  what  is  the  Lumens  on  a  Philips  True  Light  Tube.

Somebody  told  me  just  get  a  Philiphs  True  Light  and  forget  about  everything  else.

So  I  went  to  the  shop.
He  only  had  a  Yellow  Color  Philiphs  Ture  Light  no  white.
So  figuring  anything  in  white  would  work  till  I  get  the  right  tube  would  like  to  start  collecting  data.
Does  this  site  have  a  table  with  Bulb  -  Lumens  anywhere  ?

If  not  can  we  start  one.

Here  are  some  values  I  have  seen.  And  the  format  I  sugest.

 Make  -  Size  -  Type  -  Watts  -  Lumens  -  k

 Atman  -  4ft  -  T8  Tube  Light  -  36  W  -  15,000  Lumens
 Philiphs   Life  max  -  4ft  T8  Tube  Light  -  36  what  -  2450  Lumens  -  6500K  (White  Tube  Light)

Can  I  have  the  values  for  the  Philiphs  True  Lite.

Harshal  had  posted  the  lumens  value  of  a  number  of  bulbs  in  one  of  the  threads  here.  They  will  be  in  the  Planted  Aquaria  forum.
Unless  you  go  in  for  a  planted  tank  your  Lumens  don't  matter  much.  Anyway  the  lumens  vary  with  the  life  of  the  bulbs  you  loose  20%  Lumens  intensity  within  the  first  300  hours  and  then  it  is  a  very  slow  decline  over  the  next  3  -  4000  hrs  to  about  70%.  The  decline  is  rapid  when  the  bulb  nears  failure.  All  these  depend  on  your  ballast,  voltage  fluctuations,  operating  conditions  and  a  number  of  factors.  Even  the  manufacturers  don't  give  you  an  idea  of  the  decline.

T8s  with  the  highest  Lumens  are  the  Osram  Lumimax  or  is  it  Lumilux  (?)  tubes,  it's  3850  Lumens  or  close.  Trulites  are  in  the  range  of  2850  Lumens.
PM  Harshal  for  the  figures.  He  is  in  the  lighting  business  and  has  these  data  offhand.

 Corrections:

The  tubes  are  Osram  Lumilux  Plus  -  3250  Lumens.
Trulites  are  in  the  range  of  2400  Lumens.

Ron  search  IAH  first  with  the  right  key  words,  rather  look  through  the  whole  net,  what's  available  locally  is  documented  here.

Philips  has  a  detailed  list  of  all  lights  and  their  specs  on  their  website.  But  common  names  are  very  difficult  to  locate.

 http://www.lighting.philips.co.in/in/en/Portal?xml=catalogue/lamps

Osram  also  has  a  similiar  listing

Tanks  Madan  I  did  spend  4  hours  searching.  Just  this  site.
And  I  couldn't  find  the  info.

Maybe  youll  have  better  luck  finding  that  post  by  Harshal.
When  I  look  for  info  the  first  place  I  hit  for  search  is  here.  Then  after  that  the  other  search  engines.
 I  will  PM  him.

Thanks  Uni  I  did  broswe  thru  the  Philips  site  but  was  hoping  somebody  would  have  collated  this  info.

Most  answers  pertaining  to  lighting  will  be  found  in  the  Planted  Aquaria  section.  That's  where  lighting  is  most  discussed  as  it  matters  most  for  Planted  Aquaria  and  plants,  lighting  does  not  matter  much  in  other  aquaria.
Marine  is  another  place,  but  we  have  very  few  threads  there.
