I am a new member and let me tell something about my self.
I am a mechanical engineer by profession and worked in a large factory but now retired.
Fishes never cease to fasinate me. At the age of 8 I used to catch fishes from stagnated rain water ponds near my house at Chennai and put them in an unused masonary water tank and see it eat and grow. I have been keeping a small aquarium since last ten years and have been enjoying with various fishes in them. It smoothens my nerves sometime. It is really sad when some fishes die for whatsoever reason.
Now I am retired and has much time to spare. I want to explore the fish world further.
I am really delighted to fnd this site and I feel so close to so many fellow members. |

Hi.. I'm Arun a software engineer by profession and currently in chennai. I like aquarium hobby since childhood. But only since last month the fire started burning in me. Though I previously(during my childhood) had some fishes, It was only in last month I setup my first official aquarium at home.
It is a 66L glass tank. As soon as it got stabilized (I believe), now I'm seriously researching to setup up a small low budget marine aquarium.

hi i am sameeir
basically from delhi but moved to mumbai now.
i have been a hobbyist since 23 years now,but feel like a novice after reading the posts on all the forums 
i currently have 4 tanks 6x1.5x1.5 community tank,36x15x15endlers(hybrids?) growing out,24x15x15 endlersbreeding,24x15x15 krib
three outdoor containers with guppies-misc.
all tanks and containers are planted.
i am an architect specialising in landscape.
would like to add aquascaping also to my profession.
want to add a discus only tank 8x2x2,a marine tank 6x2x2,an aquascaped tank 36x15x15with various shrimps,

Dear all aquarium enthusiasts,
I am Manoj Mishra, work as a Manager, Human Resources in an Australian Retail MNC. I started the hobby of fish keeping when I was in 8th standard in the year 1992 in my home town Bhubaneswar, Orissa from a small horlicks bottel with two guppies.
I came to Mumbai in the year 2001. In the struggle of survival in Mumbai I spent 5 years and started with a small aquarium in the year 2006. Today I have one 4 feet reef aquarium and a 4 feet planted aquarium  . I heard about this website from Mr. Bharani from Hyderabad. He is a regular on IAH.
I am happy to be a member of IAH. Willing to help if any one requires. Will request you to help me when I will need the same.

working with production house as a VFX supervisor..
recently got a new hobby of aquarium.....
just 2 months old...

we can find any kind of solution related to aquarium....
and got quick answers...
my tank is 40gal...
having Oscar, Slivini, and FH in a partition...

Hi,
I'm Gautam. I work for a consulting firm. I'm based out of Hyderabad. I am new to the hobby and my knowledge about aquariums and fish is relatively low. I have a 150 ltr tank with:
- 2 Fantailed goldfish
- 2 ID Sharks
- 1 Bala Shark
- 1 rainbow shark
I wish to know more details about the kind of filter I need to use in my tank. I would also like to put some plants so any suggestions are welcome..

Hi Guys, Mickthefish is a very good friend of mine and he directed me in the direction of this site.
Just a little about myself, I have been keeping fish for around 30 years (started early) and have pretty much always had Loaches, Rasboras, Barbs and other various Cyprinids.
I help out a few forums including running my own and I am Chairman of the Loach Association of Great Britain. |

hi
i am Vaibhav from Mumbai,practising in Mumbai since last 2 years.I am a dentist by profession.Been in this hobby
since last 8 years.I used to keep a 3*1*1.5 foot tank even when i was studing.At present
I have 2 flowerhorns.I have been a part of IAH since last 1-1&1/2months.I have learnt a lot
from your forums.I m mostly into discus or flowerhorn,but goin thru IAH im getting interested
in planted aquariums also.You guys are true hobbyist ,learnt a lot from u than from the local fish

Hi all
Ravi here , marketing analyst by profession
Have been having aquariums around me since i was 5 yrs old and have been having one myself for the last 15 years at home.
My aim is to have a underwater forest , i have never been able to get a great planted tank going.
I love sports, active soccer player , lover nature trips and wildlife.
Hope the AQUA GODS on this forum can help me go a long way in setting up a underwater forest. |
