 please  take  the  shot  from  eye  level,  also  you  need  more  choice  of  plant.  HM  is  used  too  much  in  the  t  ank,  IMO.  Good  job  otherwise.

 Thanx  Seetharam,Devda.

 @Seetharam,I  had  trimmed  the  stems  to  half  of  the  length  only  10  days  ago.They  just  keep  on  growing.Still  need  to  get  grasp  of  the  trimming  technique.

 @Devda....thanx  for  the  advice.Yes  you  are  right.But  since  I  use  DIY  CO2  there's  not  much  choice  I  have.Once  I  get  hold  of  pressurized  system,will  try  wider  range  of  plants.And  HM.oh.....they  just  keep  growing.You  wont  believe  I  trim  them  every  3  days.Eevn  today  I  trimmed  them.I  am  done  with  HM.Too  fast  growth.Don't  know  what  condition  is  favoring  them.But  they  have  just  become  mad.Thinking  of  either  removing  them  or  changing  the  entire  scape  with  HM.

 Devda..here's  a  frontal  shot  .I  am  ashamed  because  of  the  worst  possible  picture  quality  but  this  is  what  I  had.

 Hi  abhishek

 This  si  a  good  first  effort!   Just  a  pointer  the  Potamogaton  gayi  will  grow  tall  and  very  bushy  and  fast  under  good  conditions.  I  would  advice  you  to  move  this  plant  at  the  background  as  from  current  placement  your  rotala  will  get  covered  in  no  time.  Just  attaching  a  picture  of  what  it  did  in  my  tank  for  your  reference.  The  plant  on  the  right  toward  the  center  is  P.Gayi

 All  the  Best!

 @Shameekda,thanx  for  the  reply.I  have  removed  marselia  for  they  were  damn  slow  and  was  getting  covered  with  algae.

 Thanx  Harshal.Its  great  to  hear  from  a  veteran  like  you.Well  I  donot  want  to  touch  P.Gayi  right  now  as  Raghu  told  me  that  it  may  suffer  from  melting  in  initial  phase  of  planting.But  surely  I  would  shift  it  to  the  back  once  it  acclamatises.

 Time  to  prune  the  Rotalas  and  HM  hard.  Rotalas  are  blocking  the  light  for  PG,  so  a  prune  will  help.

 @Tirthada,
 Its  true  that  I  must  trim  them  hard.But  trimming  is  the  toughest  thing  for  me  for  everytime  I  get  it  wrong.Had  trimmed  the  rotalas  only  2  weeks  back.They  seem  to  be  growing  vigorously.

 @Aninda,
 Thanx  for  the  appreciation  mate.

 As  it  was  suggested  by  you  all  that  I  should  go  for  a  trim,I  went  for  a  hard  trim.But  I  hate  trimming.Because  perhaps  I  am  the  worst  trimmer.Everytime  I  trim  it  all  goes  wrong.Please  criticise  my  trims  and   advice  me  to  improve  on  the  same.Here's  the  picture  after  the  trimming  of  hygrophilas,rotalas,ludwigia  and  HMs.

 HM  trimmed  nicely,  where  as  Rotala  needs  more  trim.  Take  them  down  to  the  height  of  Ludwigia.

 Tirthada,if  the  rotalas  are  trimmed  more  I  will  have  to  trim  the  hygrophilas  also  to  that  level  inorder  to  maintain  the  balance.Isn't  it  so?

 I  think  this  is  not  the  final  trimming  1  week  before  taking  the  Prize  shot.  You  are  pruning  them  to  make  them  more  bushy.  So  right  no,  you  can  forget  about  the  balance.
