 Need  a  better  camera  and  a  full  tank  shot,  Vignesh.

 Also,  before  you  take  a  picture,  ensure  that  the  water  level  in  the  tank  is  full.  My  guess  is  you  are  using  borewell  (hard)  water,  judging  from  the  stains  on  the  glass.

 Thats  an  old  pic  Suraj...Will  post  an  update  in  a  couple  of  weeks,  just  cut  the  runners  in  glosso  today.  Looks  like  the  height  of  the  lighting  created  some  issues  as  thats  the  only  change  between  the  first  few  and  the  last  set  of  pics.  Cant  get  a  better  camera  now,  but  will  try  to  get  a  better  pic  for  the  next  update....

 @scorpio-Thanks.

 how  are  they  growing  in  the  granite  chips?
 is  1  bag  of  aqua  base  enough?  whats  the  depth  of  the  aquabase  substrate?

 Im  not  much  of  an  aquascapist  natbox.  Thanks  for  the  honest  opinion.  I  started  this  to  basically  check  the  potency  of  Ferka.  Will  keep  trying  to  get  a  good  scape.

 Ferka  Aquabase  is  a  substrate  additive  in  the  form  of  powder  which  is  for  the  root  feeders.  I  have  mixed  that  with  part  of  the  substrate  and  put  that  as  the  bottom  layer.  1  box  of  that  is  enough  for  2x2  area  if  the  root  feeders  are  not  too  many.  The  total  depth  of  the  substrate  is  about  2.5  inches.

 Granite  chips-All  plants  seem  to  be  doing  pretty  fine  so  far.  Pulled  out  a  few  after  about  15  days  and  saw  root  growth  longer  than  6cms.  The  chips  are  about  2mm,  but  not  rounded,  so  they  do  give  the  feel  that  they  have  compacted  like  sand,  but  so  far  so  good.  Im  seeing  runners  from  vals,  loads  of  root  on  stems,  about  7-8  runners  from  each  glosso  in  these  37  days.  So  dont  think  the  granite  is  making  a  big  difference.

 Thanks  Anand...The  Gambusia  were  doing  well,  but  I  had  to  fix  the  4  footer  which  had  a  crack,  so  had  to  move  fish  to  different  places,  cardinals  went  into  the  ferka  tank,  all  the  others  are  in  the  Krib  tank  and  the  4  footer  is  under  works...
