 Hi  Saugata:

In  a  properly  set  Planted  Tank  with  all  parameters  right,  the  ammonia  levels  will  be  ZERO...as  the  ammonia  released  will  be  directly  absorbed  by  the  plants...
 Bye,

This  EBB  seems  to  work  by  very  efficiently  utilising  available  nutrients  in  the  water,  at  the  expense  of  other  microorganisms.

There  is  no  point  in  using  it  in  planted  tanks,  as  Nag  said.

Pandian,  do  you  know  the  method  used  by  the  LFS's  to  determine  its  efficacy?

In  any  case,  I  don't  think  its  use  in  aquaria  is  warranted.  Although  their  Japanese  site  does  mention  its  use  in  aquaria...  Link  (Also  see  the  next  page)

 Hi,

I  have  a  doubt.  The  EBB  converts  dissolved  ammonia,  but  it  must  be  converting  it  to  nitrates  etc.  Could  any  one  shed  light  on  this?

 Regards,

 Abhishek
