 Hi  Raushy,

Where  exactly  in  Hyderabad  do  you  reside?

The  fertilizer  Bio-fer  helps  you  in  dosing  the    micros.

For  macros  dose  according  to  CSD  calculator.
 http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/aqua/art_plant_dosage_calc.htm
It  dosent  get  easier  than  that  to  calculate  your  marco  dosings.
For  those  chemicals  you  could  visit  chain  of  chemical  shops  in  Koti.  Or  do  the
 "JusT  DiAL"  Thumb Up

 Good  luck  bro.

 Hey  Raushy,

Why  dont  you  get  in  touch  with  some  hyd  hobbyist  from  the  planted  side  and  they  may  be  able  to  help  you  out.  There  are  so  many  hobbyist  in  hyd  having  planted  tanks.  Alternately  if  you  dont  want  to  go  the  calculation  side,  then  you  can  go  for  commercial  fertilizers  but  they  could  turn  out  to  be  expensive.  A  few  good  brands  would  be  ADA,  DoAqua,  Ferka  API,  Sera,  etc.

 Hi  Friends,
After  shuttling  from  post  to  post  I  finalised  that  Dosing  KNO3,KH2PO4  and  Microsol-B  is  fine  for  my  aquarium
 For  a  151  litres(40  gallon)  tank  volume(36X18X18)

 Mix  Stock  Solution  :
If  I  add  40gms  of  KNO3  to  500  ml  water
 Each  ml  will  add  0.32ppm
 5ml=1.6ppm  X  3  times  a  week  1.6X3=4.8
 Suggested  ppm  is  5ppm

If  I  add  6gms  of  KH2PO4  to  500  ml  water
 Each  ml  will  add  0.06
 5ml=0.3ppm  X  3  times  a  week  10.3X3=0.9
 Suggested  ppm  is  1ppm

Correct  Me  If  Iam  Wrong(Calculated  on  Chucks)

Today  I  have  visited  some  fertilizer  shops  in  Hyderabad  to  buy  Microsol-B  from  Vardhmaan  Ferts,
It  seems  nobody  sells  Microsol-B  anymore,Alternatively  they  sell  Rexolin  CXK  (EDTA  Microgranules)  Produced  in  Netherlands(Akzo  Nobel  Chemicals)  a  substitute  of  Microsol-B.

 A  Packet  of  100gms  contents

 EC  Fertilizer
Mixture  of  Micronutrients  totally  soluble  in  water.
 Element                                                   Chelated  by
 Boron        ---------------------1.5%        -
 Copper     ---------------------0.5%     EDTA
 Iron           ---------------------3.4%     EDTA
 Mangnese--------------------3.2%     EDTA
 molybdenum----------------0.05%      -
 Zinc---------------------------4.2%     EDTA
 Magnesium-------------------1.2%        -

If  I  Dose  KNO3  and  KH2PO4  Alternatively  then  when  to  dose  Rexolin  CXK  (Microsol-B)?

 Guru's  Please  Comment.

Raushy  ,  it  seems  that  you  have  messed  up  in  calculations  of  fertilizers.

You    don't  dose  the  KNO3  ,  KH2PO4  ,  MgSO4  ,  Trace  elements  separately  ,  if  you  mix  them  with  water.

If  you  do  not  mix  them  with  water  ,  then  you  should  dry  those  according  to  requirements  ,  but  this  is  not  recommended.

When  you  are  mixing  in  water  ,  you  mix  all  the  constituents  in  calculated  proportion  together  in  500  ml  water  and  dose  accordingly.  You  can  search  for  "PMDD  planted  tank"  in  Google.  The  original  PMDD  formula  didn't  have  any  phosphates  i.e  KH2PO4  .  But  recently  the  need  of  phosphates  have  been  recognized  and  the  PMDD  formula  has  been  modified.  However  ,  you  should  always  mix  the  least  possible  amount  of   KH2PO4  because  a  bit  of  excess  phosphate  can  turn  your  tank  into  an  algae  den  !

 Best  of  luck  !

You  can  mix  up  the  Macros  and  Micros  into  separate  solutions  and  dose  those  on  alternate  days.
Im  also  not  sure  but  I  think  your  dose  of  macros  is  a  bit  low.  You  should  be  dosing  5  ppm  and  1  ppm  of  each  per  dose  rather  than  per  week.

I  never  had  good  experience  with  Azoo  fertilizers.  Always  had  deficiency  problem  with  plants.  I  now  use  fertilizers  which  are  made  locally  in  mumbai.  Till  now  im  satisfied.
