 Hi  All,

As  per  my  earlier  post,  2  days  back  I  have  received  my  new  digicam  and  have  captured  same  sample  snaps.  You  can  view  the  snaps  at  Picasa  Web

I  haven’t  clean  the  glass  but  anyway  I  need  your  feedback  on  my  tank  and  on  my  discus’s.

 Camera  Make  :  CANON  EOS  500D  –  Rebel  -  T1i
 Lens  :  EF-S  18-55mm  and  EF-S  18-200mm

 Cheers,

 Kiran  Sankpal

Nice  discus,  only  hitch  being  its  seriously  under-stocked.  Chuckle
Get  some  more  in  there  to  fill  those  empty  spaces.

Also,  your  new  balcony  tank  can  easily  hold  30-35  adult  ones,  get  large-disc  strains  like  Blue  Turqs,  Yellow  Crystals  etc.

 Kiran  ,

Except  Blue  Diamonds  all  your  discus  looks  nice  .  Why  the  aeration  in  tank  is  so  low?  Keep  sufficient  aeration  .

 Thanks

 Thanks  MMB,

The  Kit  includes  those  2  lens  +  Camera  BAG  to  hold  all  the  stuff  +  4  GB  Card.

 Yogesh,

My  tank  is  around  200  liters  and  I  had  9  almost  adults  in  it,  as  per  my  understanding  the  ratio  is  for  1  adult  requires  25  liters  of  water.  Let  me  know  if  I  am  doing  some  wrong  calculation,  if  so  suggest  me  how  many  adults  we  can  add.

 Thanks  Shiva,

Yaa,  I  know  BD  doesn’t  have  the   good  shape  but  it  has  grown  very  well  in  my  tank  (Looks  like  I  have  to  feed  him  a  Humpyhead  …).  About  aeration,  I  think  you  have  only  looked  after  sponge  filters  .  for   good  aeration  I  have  added  an  air  stone  and  you  can  see  the  same  at  2nd  picture,  just  behind  the  bottom  joint.

 Garothmaan,

Thanks  for  advise,  will  do  the  experiments  with  the  camera  these  all  are  just  testing  snaps.   Huu,  I  know  BD  has  an  issue  with  shape  but  I  think  he  has  improved  much  in  my  tank.

 Hamza,

Thanks  and  Yes,  will  do!!!  Will  do!!!
I  have  added  few  more  close-up  snaps  at  same  album.
 Picasa

 Regards,

 Kiran  Sankpal

 Hi  Kiran,

Nice  collection.  What's  the  Tank  size  !!

I  think  BD's  became  Stunt.  Otherwise  all  the  Discus  having  good  color  as  good  health.

 Keep  it  up     Thumb Up

 Thanks  Abhis,

 Tank  size  is  60x18x15  inches..

No,  BD  is  not  stunned!!!  it's  aggressive  and  eating  all  types  of  food  eagerly..  Looks  like  BD  and  Snakeskin  are  pairing.  Will  put  some  breading  cones  in  tank  to  simulate  the  paring.  What  did  you  think  experts...

 Regards,

 Kiran

Classical  rule  says  10G  per  discus  but  you  can  add  more  if  you  are  disciplined  about  water  changes  &  its  quality.
You  still  have  a  space  to  add  4-5  more  adults  in  this  60x18x15  tank.

 Thanks  Yogesh,

As  suggested  by  you  will  accommodate  2  to  3  more  around  4  inches.   As  I  observed  from  my  current  stock  they  are  always  fighting  for  the  food  and  coming  in  front  to  get  some  food.  also  I  am  looking  that  they  are  trying  to  pair.  Still  date  I  am  not  aware  which  one  is  male  and  female,  can  anyone  suggest  the  same  after  seeing  my  snaps.  One  more  thing  by  adding  2  or  3  with  same  size  will  increase  the  possibility  to  get  another  1  or  2  pairs  .  What’s  your  suggestion!!!

Can  I  add  one  or  two  breading  cones  in  my  tank?  Think  this  will  boost  the  pair  forming!!!  Need  your  advise  on  this  too!!!
 Regards,

 Kiran

Is  there  any  reason  why  you  did  not  put  any  sand  in  your  aquarium?   Confused
