Great  tank  Prem.  The  Growth  of  Blyxa  is  really  rapid.  Keep  it  coming.

Its  coming  up  nice  Prem  but  I  agree  with  Seetha,  you  have  to  add  a  bit  of  hardscape.  There  is  a  degree  of  too  much  order  and  regularity  in  the  tank,  especially  the  right  side  (opposit  to  the  filters)  which  appears  to  be  made  of  two  rectangular  blocks.  But  may  be  when  the  tank  fully  matures  that  regualrity  would  go.  Still  you  can   thinks  of  rocks  or  driftwoods  that  can  bring  some  randomness  in  the  tank.

 Cheers

 One  doubt

The  plan  for  this  tank  is  to  grow  bolbitis  on  the  right  hand  corner  as  a  thick  bhushy  tree  and  the  remaining  part  of  the  tank  will  have  hair  grass.  The  initial  plants  that  go  in  is  only  to  combat  algae  and  later  this  scape  will  change.

i  cant  get  the  hang  of  the  above??

Yup!  That  was  the  plan  and  its  still  with  the  first  part  of  having  the  bolbitis  grow  and  its  taken  of  but  unfortunately  the  hair  grass  i  ordred  was  covered  with  algae  so  I  switched  to  glosso.

Jut  a  suggestion  ....  I  feel  there  is  not  much  hardscape,  probably  some  nice  rocks  would  give  this  tank  a  very  good  character

Thanks  Seetharam.  Your  right  this  tank  requires  hardscape  and  the  wood  placed  in  the  centre  with  the  bolobitis  growing  is  not  very  visible,  i'd  give  it  another  month  and  see  how  the  bolbitis  is  shaping  up  and  then  add  if  required.

Your  right,  i  too  felt  the  same  when  I  looked  at  the  tank  and  I  am  a  fan  of  the  wild  looking  tanks.  Let  me  wait  for  a  month  to  see  how  the  bolbitis  is  taking  shape  and  will  add  hard  scape  accordingly.

 Prem,
Why  do  the  pics  appear  dark?  Is  it  deliberate   or  there  is  insufficient  light  (although  4X54  watts  seems  sufficient)?  I  also  have  some  nice  driftwoods  and  can  send  them  to  you.....and  yes...free  ofcourse   Chuckle  (reason?....  have  too  many  driftwoods  which  when  left  outside  tanks  is  (1)  eyesore(2)  cobweb  breeder.....(3)  might  do  justice  in  your  tank  )

Hey  Bappa,  the  pictures  are  dark  compared  to  my  6  footer.  Infact  I  have  54X4  +  two  36  watts  T-8s  and  still  i  dont  get  half  the  brightness  of  my  6  foot  tank.  I  somehow  dislike  these  lights  and  am  looking  to  change  my  tubes  to  see  if  I  find  any  difference.  Apart  from  this  there  are  few  snaps  which  are  taken  with  just  the  t-8's.

I  think  i  need  to  add  hard  scape  as  suggested.  I  somehow  dont  think  ill  get  the  bolbitis  to  grow.  I  shall  start  my  hunt  for  the  hardscape  and  in  the  meanwhile  it  would  be  great  if  you  can  send  them.  Thanks  for  the  offer.

 Cheers,
 Prem

 Hi  Prem

Tank  is  coming  around  good.  But  I  guess  once  you  rescape  it  thats  when  its  gonna  look  really  good!  BTW  which  light  set  are  you  using,  you  have  mentioned  that  there  is  some  issue  with  it.  For  this  size  tank  you  will  need  5  T5HOs  (54W).  What  is   the  kelvin  rating  of  the  tubes?
