Hello  people  i  was  browsing  through  some  sites  and  came  across  this  beautiful  drift  wood.

 http://www.aquascapingworld.com/forum/aquascaping-showcase/2996-soul-wood-ver-2010-a.html

Im  looking  for  a  similar  wood.  Have  searched  for  it  all  over  Mumbai  but  no  joy.
I  have  heard  you  get  it  easily  in  Bangalore  pls  let  me  know  if  i  have  heard  wrong.
Can  anyone  pls  help  me  get  one  from  Bangalore.  Pls  pls  let  me  know  if  you  can  send  it  to  Mumbai.  I  had  seen  a  similar  drift  wood  long  time  back  online  but  that  was  a  lighther  shade.
Im  looking  for  it  urgently  for  my  36  18  18  tank.
 pls  help  me.

Driftwood  comes  in  a  great  variety  type,  shape,  size,  texture,  etc.  Chances  are  that  you  might  find  similar  piece/pieces  around  Mumbai,  try  some  reputed  stores.

FYI,  the  tank  in  that  link  is  made  up  of  few  pieces  together,  and  not  just  a  single  piece.

 Hi  Ajeesh,

Check  at  Aakar  aquarium  at  Kurla  East.  They  have  some  nice  collection  of  driftwood  (which  is  not  always  on  display,  you  have  to  ask  for  it).

I  also  recommend  checking  other  shops  at  the  Kurla  Wholesale  market  and  then  decide  which  piece  of  wood  is  most  suitable  for  your  tank  and  your  budget.

 Cheers,
 Sid

Cant  say  exactly  where,  try  some  Chennai  and  Kolkata  folks  as  well.

But  its  a  rare  thing  to  get  perfect  one  piece,  you  always  need  a  couple  of  similar  minor  branches  to  get  the  desired  look(or  to  balance  it  out)  or  even  for  minor  detailing  which  I  strongly  feel  is  necessary.
With  a  multiple  pieces  you  also  have  flexibility  in  design,  so  I  believe  in  having  a  scape  with  several  pieces  rather  than  one(unless  its  very  exceptional).

For  example,  here  are  a  few  pieces.

You  can  mix  and  match  them  to  get  desired  scape....

Scape  trial  1  with  same  woods

 Scape  trial  2

 I  hope  this  helps..

Think  Mumbai  and  Pune  members  went  on  a  trip  (cant  remember  where)  and  collected  loads  of  drift  wood.  There  must  be  snaps  in  one  of  those  trip  threads.  Looking  at  that,  there  is  no  shortage  of  driftwood  for  mumbai  fellows.  All  you  have  to  do  is  go  there  and  collect  (in  the  right  season  ofcourse).
