I  was  considering  HTC  Touch2  when  I  came  across  HTC  Wildfire.
I  was  just  wondering  if  I  should  wait  a  little  bit  and  lay  my  hands  on  Wildfire.

My  primary  criteria  is  to  stay  under  15k  mark  and  my  recent  shout  in  the  shoutbox  revealed  that  HTC  makes  good  phones.

 Your  comments/suggestions/advise  please.

 Thanks

 samsung  wave

 1  Gig  processor,
a  real  beautiful  and  bright  screen,  quite  an  ample  sized  screen
quite  a  sensitive  touch,  might  i  say  better  than  the  iphones  touch
 supports  3G

But  the  screen  is  mind  blowing,  niiice  price  tag  too

From  what  I  read  the  QVGA  3.2  inch  screen  on  the  Wildfire  isn't  great.  Its  too  new  a  phone  to  judge  its  performance.  Touch2  is  great  but  overpriced  in  India  for  its  features.

HTC  Touch  2  come  in  two  price  variants  based  on  a  few  change  in  features.

i  use  a  HTC.  its  a  TyTn  II  and  supports  everything  under  the  sun.  amazing  response  speeds  and  absolutly  no  hangs  or  crashed.  i  also  used  a  HTC  prior  to  the  TyTn  and  it  was  fairly  good  as  well.

am  kinda  hesitant  to  buy  a  Samsung.  my  experience  with  over  6  diff  Samsung  phones  havent  been  very  pleasing.

Between  the  two  you  mentioned...Wildfire  is  better...certain  specs  like  ROM  and  max  SD  upgrade  is  higher...secondly  its  an  Android  OS...am  using  a  Desire  and  it  hasnt  locked  up  even  once...I  did  use  a  Tytn  II  and  an  O2  XDA  Mini  before  this  and  being  Windows  based  it  was  really  slow  and  locked  up  a  lot...plus  the  new  HTC  Sense  UI  makes  it  worth  more..

Not  sure  how  much  the  HTC  Legend  costs  (try  Alfa  in  mumbai)  but  you  can  look  at  it  as  an  option...my  friend  got  it  a  few  thousand  more  than  your  specified  budget..

 www.gsmarena.com

this  is  a  link  I  use  for  research  and  reviews  b4  I  pur..so  check  it  out..(does  not  give  the  cost  though)

@jib  I  am  little  skeptical  about  BADA.  Its  young  yet  I  guess.

@insanebliss  Yeah  I  have  heard  about  Alfa  too,  Trying  to  get  the  price  of  Legend  from  there.

Just  picked  up  HTC  wildfire  yesterday.  A  little  over  15k.  My  first  Android  phone.  Need  to  use  it  for  a  couple  of  days  before  commenting  on  it.

First  impression  :Touch  response  is  good,  camera  is  fine  and  music  clarity  is  fine.

 Just  to  close  the  thread,
I  finally  went  ahead  and  bought  HTC  Wildfire  over  the  weekend.
The  availability  of  the  phone  is  an  issue  and  I  had  to  visit  couple  of  stores  before  I  could  actually  lay  my  hands  on  it.

Being  my  first  smartphone  I  am  overwhelmed  by  the  features  and  I  am  all  in  love  with  it  for  last  2  days.
Agree  with  Mitra's  feedback  above  except  for  the  music  quality,  but  again  that's  my  perception.
