Good  going  buddy.  I  was  just  wondering  if  there  a  particular  betta  gets  ick,  will  the  drip  transfer  the  ick  parasites  to  the  other  tanks  since  the  water  is  being  pumped  back  through  a  common  filter?  Wont  this  be  risky?

ya  will  happen,  but  since  raghu  is  using  a  UV  sterlizer  and  a  sump  where  he  is  goin  to  put  in  a  heater,  all  these  problems  will  be  taken  care  of

there's  a  bend  on  the  last  plane  is  that  why  you  are  putting  the  sump  on  the  floor  ?
 peace

Plane  has  been  changed,  you  will  see  what  it  is  once  the  product  is  completed.

Hi  Ram,
One  question  about  the  overflow?  Will  all  the  tanks  on  a  shelf  be  kept  in  a  tray  to  collect  the  overflow?

How  will  solid  waste  be  handled?

Yup  the  tanks  will  be  a  collection  trays,  and  about  the  solid  wast.  since  there  is  a  continues  water  flow,  the  ammonia  mixed  water  is  gona  go  through  the  sump  where  I  have  added  a  level  on  zeolite  which  will  filter  it.

Ram,
unless  you  will  be  having  the  outlet  of  the  pump  below  the  least  level  of  the  tanks,  i  think  there  will  be  a  difficulty  in  pumping  the  water  to  the  bottommost  tanks.
Also,  their  overflows  wont  flow  into  the  sump  gravity  assisted.
Instead,  i  would  recommend  you  unscrew  the  last  level  entirely,  and  keep  the  sump  on  the  floor  itself...  However  that  might  be  a  PITA  now,  seeing  that  you  already  have  your  plumbing  in  place!

You  are  right  Subhankar  I  have  remover  the  1st  level  am  only  gona  have  40  tanks  and  the  sump  is  gona  be  on  the  floor  below  the  water  level  in  the  1st  tray.

Preeths  wrote:
I  am  curious  to  know  the  pump  you  will  be  using  for  supplying  the  water.  Normal  power  heads  will  not  have  the  head  pressure  to  maintain  constant  flow  through  all  the  tanks.  So  what  kind  of  pump  are  you  going  to  use?  Using  0.5  hp  or  0.25  hp  pumps  for  water  circulation  will  increase  the  electricity  bill  as  well  as  make  the  setup  noisy.

How  are  you  going  to  remove  solid  waste  from  the  tanks?  a  over  flow  will  not  help  with  this.

Maintaining  water  temperature  using  a  continous  drip  system  is  going  to  be  an  almost  impossible  job.

I  am  not  trying  to  discourage  you  but  simply  trying  to  figure  out  how  you  managed  to  solve  these  problems....

I  have  got  a  Hailea  HX-6540  in  the  sump  and  its  doing  a  great  job.
For  the  solid  wast  its  gona  remain  in  the  tank  it  self  but  any  how  am  using  zeolite  in  the  sump  so  it  should  tank  care  of  it.
And  about  the  heating  system,  even  am  not  sure  how  its  gona  work  out  but  it  seems  its  a  proven  technique  world  wide  for  betta  drip  system.

Alright  now,  here  are  some  pictures  that  I  clicked  lats  night.  I  am  yet  not  done  with  the  tanks  and  am  hoping  to  finish  it  by  tomorrow  evening  and  get  the  system  running.
