 Algae.  Very Happy
 Most  primitive  and  most  successfull.
I  never  have  problems  in  growing  this.  have  tried  nearly  all  types  with  great  success.
When  ever  I  tried  to  take  it  out,  I  killed  successfully  everything  in  the  tank  except  algae.
I  am  able  to  grow  them  even  in  my  non  planted  tanks,  keeps  my  plecos  and  other  algae  eating  fish  busy.
 Nothing  beats  algae.  Cheer

On  a  more  serious  note  it  would  be  very  hard  to  idenitfy  one  favourite  plant.
In  case  of  planted  tank,  it  is  the  whole  look  of  planted  tank  which  appeals  to  the  eye.  it  would  be  very  hard  to  idenity  a  single  plant.
I  have  seen  a  stunning  guppy  tank  with  just  one  type  of  plant  ,  cabomba

very  true  sandeep..its  a  bit  tough  to  pick  one  favourite  species  when  there  are  thousands..but  still,  i  think  that  to  every  aquarists, there  is  one  favourite  plant  with  which  he/she  has  had  success..
