 these  guys  are  4mm  to  11mm  and  are  a  blast  to  shoot

 Those  is  going  to  be  spectacular  monsters!
 
 I  have  read  that  they  are  slow  growers..  How  long  do  they  take  to  get  to  30  cm?

 yes  they  are  super  slow  growers
 they  should  take  more  than  2-3  years  before  they  get  to  11-12"

 rigth  now  they  are  in  a  90g  tank,  with  a  few  grow  out  plecos  and  some  barbs,  to  teach  them  to  eat  pellets,  and  they  are  on  pellets,  but  will  keep  the  barbs  till  they  become  food
 
 u  should  keep  them  lawrence  they  are  a  lovely  set  of  fish,  but  believe  me  to  see  their  true  beauty  u  gotta  keep  them  for  a  looooooong  time
 
 i  have  7  or  8  of  them  not  sure
