 That's  awesome  equipment  :)

(Assuming  that  the  rule  about  price  discussion  is  only  for  fish  and  aquarium  related  goods.)

How  much  does  that  gear  cost?

(How  much  does  it  cost  to  get  a  "beginner"  level  version  of  that  kit?)

 Regards,
 Sid

   Drool   Drool

The  above  pictures  shot  with  the  Sony  also  look  perfect.  Just  goes  on  to  illustrate  the  fact  that  the  man  makes  the  difference,  not  the  machines  Smile

PS:-  What  is  the  mounted  at  the  bottom  of  the  camera?

Unni,  i  guess  its  a  grip  with  an  extra  battery  pack?

Thanks  guys!  Was  fooling  around  with  some  strobes  (and  DIY  diffusers),  and  then  thought  of  using  the  gear  as  subjects,  hence  this  Smile

 Mridul,
There  are  lots  of  shots  in  my  photo  diary  http://indianaquariumhobbyist.com/community/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=16045&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
And  tons  more  in  the  Picasa  link  in  my  signature

 Sid,
All  of  them  collectively  were  about  a  $1000  or  more  (dont  recall  the  exact  figure)
Well,  you  got  to  define  what  would  be  "beginner".  With  a  DSLR,  that  would  be  the  Body  +  kit  lens.  The  price  would  depend  on  the  choice  of  these.  An  external  flash,  though  not  a  necessity  but  sure  does  make  aquatic  photography  easier.

 Tirtha,
Bought  the  250  a  couple  of  weeks  after  picking  up  the  DSLR,  it's  THE  Walk  around  lens  for  outdoors.  Most  of  the  outdoor/ride  shots  are  with  this.

 Unni/Shubhankar,
True,  the  gadgets  only  "enable"  the  vision  that  one  has.  Yep,  that's  a  battery  grip  which  ensures  my  lil  finger  does  not  go  under  the  camera  when  gripping  it  (the  450D  is  a  pretty  small  body)

 Arjun,
Yeah,  a  super  versatile  lens.  And  that  sharpness  is  quite  remarkable!

 Sikander,
Please  feel  free  to  post  up  any  questions  you  might  have,  shall  try  my  best  to  answer  them.  Glad  to  have  inspired!

 Cheers,
