Specs of the LED
3Watts Cool White LED placed 3" apart length and breadth wise. Totally 9 LED's (Edexion).
Power Supply: 12V 5A SMPS. |

Its a nice idea .. Even I want to do similar stuff for my nano .How much did total cost for all ? If its cheap I also want to build the same .Please PM the total cost and source of equipments. Hope I am not asking for much ..  |

Thanks....
LED setup will not be cheap... It will be higher than all lights... But only the initial investment would be more. In the long run, LED setup is the most cost efficient. Current charge would be less.
Light does not produce any heat. So no evaporation of water.. No heat of water.. In summer season, no need to put big fans to cool the water...
So decrease of current charge spent on putting big fans also.  |

are u using LM317 to drive the LEDs? can u post some pics of the driver and the specifications. what is the output current from the driver? |

Hi Sushant,
No. I am not using LM317. I am using CAT4101 driver IC. Currently I am running it at 750mA. I can also run it in 1A. If 1A, I will get more power.
