 Dear  Friends
Post  lots  of  exercise  for  my  grey  cells  and  tremendrous  troubleshooting  at  home.  finally  arrived  at  a  decision.

A  a  few  of  you  are  aware  that  my  90  gallon  tank  cracked.
Now  that  the  entire  set  was  scrapped,  felt  the  need  for  a  new  improved  one.

Coming  up  soon....  my  200  gallon  FOWLR  (as  of  now)   with  40  a  gallon  sump
Would  be  posting  a  few  pics  soon....

200  gallon  FOWLR  with  40  gallon  sump  ???

Reconsider  the  sump  volume.  80  to  90  gallon  should  be  your  sump  volume.

 THE  Dimensions  are
 Display  Tank  :  72"l  x  24"  b  x  30"  h  ;  drilled  approx  1.5-2  inches  from  top  of  the  side  glass.
Maximum  Water  in  height  26  inches

 Sump  :  30  l  x  21b  x  15h
This  is  the  max  that  could  fit  the  limites  space.
HAve  about  50  kgs  of  live  rock  to  start  with  from  my  existing  tank.
Would  be  adding  a  DSB  in  the  sump.

 Thats  the  base  plan...

Very  nice  Gulls.  Looks  like  your  finally  getting  a  hang  of  things.  Why  is  the  frigging  powerhead  tucked  away  in  that  friggin  corner??????  it  needs  to  be  way  up  so  that  your  rocks  can  get  maximum  flow.  and  then  you  wonder  why  detritus  gets  accumulated  on  them.

I  have  two  powerheads,  one  behind  and  one  on  the  front  on  either  side.

Do  you  advice  to  have  both  of  them  just  above  the  rocks  on  opposite  ends?

 Can  do  it...

Sorry  if  i  sounded  harsh  but  it's  such  a  nice  setup  even  at  this  stage  so  it'll  be  a  pity  if  you  get  something  like  powerhead  direction  wrong.  the  wavemaker  on  the  right  side  is  correctly  placed.  move  the  smaller  one  up  but  not  facing  the  bigger  one.  They  should  be  diagonally  opp  each  other.  the  idea  is  to  get  max  flow  on  the  rocks.  dont  worry  about  the  corners,  if  the  powerheads  are  powerful  enough,  they  will  get  flow.

You've  really  done  a  good  job  with  the  live  sand  n  rocks.  Just  see  what  magic  happens  now.

 HI  Sid

I  did  a  bit  of  changes.
Added  another  powerhead  in  the  place  and  have  one  placed  as  mentioned  by  you.
Checked  the  flow..  low  at  corners  but  still  some  movement.
Since  the  powerheads  were  not  so  powerful  to  drag  the  water  6',  I  had  to  place  three  of  them  so  that  there  is  adequate  flow.

The  slimy  cover  is  off  from  a  couple  of  rocks.
Did  a  parameter  test  today.  Surprising  results  :
 PH  :  8.2
 Ammonia:  0  ppm
 Nitrite:  0ppm
 Nitrate  :  10ppm

I  expected  ammonia  to  be  up  alittle..  perhaps  nitrate  is  due  to  the  corporation  water  (soft)  used  while  mixing  salt.

Would  do  a  recheck  on  thursday.
Hood/  lighting  work  in  progress..  would  post  pics  soon.
