CO2  will  b  used  in  a  months  time  once  the  carpet  is  complete...........pressurized  CO2  with  4  bubbles  per-second  is  what  is  planned.

background  will  b  Rotalla  Sp  green  n  red  so  they  will  require  high  CO2.....:)

 Hi  Anish,

It  seems  you  have  planted  the  HC  in  clumps.  What  I  normally  do,  is  plant  individual  stems.  If  you  use  nimble  fingers,  you  can  easily  separate  the  individual  runners/stems  than  make  up  the  clumps.  It  is  easier  to  plant  the  individual  stems  and  even  in  submersed  planting  they  do  not  float  back  since  you  can  push  the  stem  quite  deep  into  the  substrate.  Moreover  I  have  seen  that  planting  stems  individually  quickly  grows  the  mat.  My  HC  emersed  growth  tray.

I  think  you  ought  to  change  the  stones  for  a  much  better  effect.  You  have  put  in  such  hard  work  on  the  other  items,  some  time  spent  on  collecting  better  stones  will  greatly  enhance  the  look  of  the  nano.

 Cheers,

 Vijay

I  doubt  if  HC  will  grow  without  CO2....However  the  first  month  I'm  planning  emmersed  setup(without  filling  the  tank  with  water)...........so  won't  need  CO2.
Once  i  finish  the  carpet  will  add  petite  nana,  dwarf  hair  grass,  and  rotalla  and  one  ore  stem  plant.

That  is  the  plan  for  now.......:)

 Hey  Anish,

Good  to  know  you  have  started...few  suggestions

 -  as  Vijay  suggested  you  must  go  for  better  rocks...especially  the  pebble  on  the  left....its  a  nano  and  you  have  put  in  so  much  of  money  in  planning  and  equipments...worth  buying  ADA?....if  not  atleast  some  better  rocks.

 -  i  would  suggest  to  only  put  HC  as  foreground  and  a  max  of  2  background  plants..may  be  just  one....i  would  have  planted  blyxa's  behind  the  stones....its  a  small  tank  and  too  many  background  plants  may  not  be  nice....just  my  thoughts.

if  you  plan  to  put  blyxa's  dosing  is  must  else  they  will  melt  off......my  experience.

 Good  luck!!!!!

 Cheers,
 Binesh

 Hello  Binesh

I'm  not  particularly  happy  with  the  rock  on  the  left  hand  side..........Didn't  get  any  better  ones  @  that  point

But  will  sure  change  it.........Blyxa  is  a  good  option  had  completely  missed  that  one  out  in  my  plan........:)

 Hello  Vijay

Thank  you  for  the  valuable  input.........:)

I  tried  separating  the  HC...........but  failed  and  the  ones  that  i  manged  to  separate  had  trouble  pushing  them  in.......I  use  the  regular  tweezers  which  is  not  as  pointed  as  "Doaqua/ADA"  n  so  every  time  is  push  it  in,  it  just  came  back  wen  i  removed  the   tweezers..........:(

So  finally  had  to  resort  to  planting  them  in  a  chunk..........:(

Not  sure  how  well  i  have  achieved  it.........will  have  to  wait  for  at  least  a  week  to  find  out..........Smile  First  time  so  had  trouble

I  will  change  the  rock  on  the  left   just  waiting  to  get  a  good  one.......might  aswell  add  3  rocks  instead  of  two.......

even  number  of  rocks  is  making  the  scape  to  look  symmetrical...........:(

 Anish

Will  have  to  wait  some  more  time  to  finally  finish  it.

 Anish,

You  can  simply  cut  them  in  between  to  separate  it,  also  you  can  plant  from  tweezer  with  one  hand  and  while  planting  just  put  few  gravel  on  top  with  the  other  hand,  dont  bother  if  you  push  the  HC  a  little  too  deep  also,  once  settled  they  would  come  up.

 Cheers,
 Binesh
