Greetings  everyone.  This  is  Partha.  I  have  come  back  to  my  childhood  hobby  nearly  after  2.5  decades   Smile  from  last  month.   I  have  been  reading  this  forum  for  the  past  few  weeks.  It's  a  great  resource  for  all  Aquarium  Hobbyist.  Thanks  to  everyone  for  sharing  such  valuable  information.

I  have  couple  of  aquariums  :

 1)  1050L*450W*1000H  mm  (poured  almost  360L  of  water  the  first  time)

Have  couple  of  Platinum  Angels,  1  Pair  of  Black  Molly  ,  2  Female  Guppies  +  1  Sword  tail.  Since,  it's  been  a  month  since  these  have  settled  (of  course  I  did  have  couple  of  Sea  Angels  which  died),  I  plan  to  add  more  fishes  now.  I  feel  that  the  tank  has  been  cycled.

Would  like  some  suggestions  on  what  fishes  to  add  (will  try  to  post  the  pictures  soon)  and  also  to  offer  suggestions  on  the  aquarium.

 2)  380L*230W*420H  mm

8  Gold  Fishes.  Need  to  get  1  more  Black  Moor.

 a)  I  was  advised  to  have  Mineral  water  for  my  aquariums.  In  doing  the  initial  splurge,  I  thought   it  was  fine,  but  don't  think  it  would  be  feasible  in  the  long  run.  Can  I  slowly  switch  them  to  Tap  Water?.   Can  I  use  RO  water.  I  checked  the  PH  level  for  RO  water  and  found  it  to  be  less  than  7

 b)  I  know  that  9  fishes  are  too  much  for  the  second  tank  but  it  was  got  for  Vaastu  as  my  wife  insisted  on  it  (otherwise,  there  was  no  way  the  first  huge  one  was  coming  in   Smile  ).   This  is  a  temporary  setup  for  the  first  few  months  and  might  for  a  bigger  one  down  the  line.

Hi,  This  is  Kabir.  A  builder  from  Bangalore.  I  am  a  nature  lover  and  keeping  fishes  since  my  school  ages.  But  I  have  been  into  serious  fish  keeping  only  for  the  past  5  years  and  I  am  interested  in  Planted  Aquaria.  I  go  to  great  lengths  to  research  and  I'm  always  looking  out  for  challenging  to  breed  all  kinda  fishes.  Most  of  the  stuff  that  I've  have  is  all  DIY.  I  like  to  customize  stuff  to  my  needs  and  tastes  rather  than  picking  it  off  the  shelves.  I  like  to  experiment  with  new  stuff.
Now  I  have  about  9  aquariums.

 3  big  tanks
 4  nano  tanks
 1  paludarium.
 1  pond

 Fishes:
 American  flags
 Golden  panchax  killies
 Clown  killies
 Oryzia  dancena
 Badis.  Sp  buxar
 Scarlet  badis  (  Dario  Dario)
 Featherfin  rainbows
 Coral  pencil  fish
 Siamese  algae  eaters
 Endlers  guppy
 Wild  guppy
 Tangerines
 Dwarf  mudskippers
 Blue  brichardi
 Mountain  minnows

 Inverts:
 Red  cherry  shrimps
 Dwarf  wood  shrimps,
 Fire  red  sakura  shrimps
 Green  rainbow  shrimps
 Red  nose  shrimps
 Chameleon  shrimps
 Crystal  red  shrimps
 Crystal  black  bumble  bee  shrimps
 Nerite  sanils
 Apple  snails
 Ramshorn  snails
 Zebra  clams

I  have  been  learning  the  perfect  art  of  keeping  a  miniature  jungles  indoors.  So  I  would  be  happy  to  share  and  learn  new  things  from  other  hobbyists  as  well.  My  Dream  was  always  to  Have  perfect  miniature  garden  and  that  dream  came  true  after  joining  IAH.

God  bless  you  all,  pls  wish  me  too:)

 Regards,
 Kabir,
 Bangalore

 Hey  Kabir
   Welcome
You  have  amazing  experience  in  fishkeeping  &  planted  tanks.  I  will  be  looking  forward  to  your  posts.
 I  Wish  you  the  best

BTW  You  also  have  clams.  What  are  the  advantages  &  disadvantages  of  having  clams  in  fish-tank?  I  do  not  know  anyone  else  who  had  kept  clams.

 Hi  everyone
My  name  is  Vivek  K  ,  i  am  residing  in  tumkur, karnataka.  Doing  my  2nd  your  M.B.B.S

To  begin  with  i  had  this  imaginary  concept  of  creating  (near  perfect)  an  ecosystem  within  the  five  glass  sheets...by  providing  it  with  light,water,gas(CO2/O2)  as  the  sources  of  energy....  photosynthetic  microscopic  planktons  use  light  to  assimilate  carbon  which  in  turn  is  consumed  by  invertebrates  or  lower  animals  which  multiply  rapidly  that  forms  the  food  for  higher  vertebrates...which  enrich  the  soil...in  short  a  running  food  chain  within...

This  developed  within  me  an  interest   in  planted  tanks  and  aquascaping....i  am  just  a  beginner  in  the  field  of  aquatics.i  manage  to  find  any  time  ...Started  with  a  64  liter  planted  tank...most  of  the  things  being  DIY  includes  the  co2  up  and  the  tank  itself...i  like  to  built  my  own  stuffs  rather  than  buying  ready  made....started  with  neon  tetras  and  a  few  plants...

Now  using  pressurized  CO2  and  a  timer  for  the  36wx2  PLL
Tank  mates  include  neons,cardinals,ottocinclus,a.corydora,guppies,RC.shrimps,and  some  unidentified  shrimps
Really  happy  with  my  tank  ,sometimes  i  just  sit  in  front  of  it  like  a  couch  potato  enjoying  the  view!
 plants  of  interest  :  riccia,mosses,HC,anubias,lilly,java  fern...Also  made  2  pico  tanks  ...

interested  in  aquascaping  ...that  whhich  has  a  serene  spirit!
