Diffusion  is  excellent,  check  the  pic  below,  I  tried  my  best  but  I  couldnt  capture  finer  mist  particles.

There  are  a  couple  of  craters,  it  is  at  these  points  where  larger  bubbles  can  be  seen  emerging.  I'll  get  a  better  quality  ceramic  candle  without  craters  for  version  2  diffuser.  This  was  a  quick  job  and  I  dint  even  expect  this  out  of  it.

@Batman..its  a  co2  diffuser,  thats  an  empty  cap,  theres  nothing  in  it.  The  wall  looks  stained  beccause  a  bit  of  adhessive  spilled  on  it.

@Emmanuel..Thanks...true,  actually  I  have  a  couple  of  kids  in  my  home  and  the  tank  at  20"  height  from  ground  is  quite  reachable  for  them  and  I  just  cant  prevent  things  from  happening.  Though  the  first  one  did  smash  on  my  mistake  and  that  was  I  sat  on  it   Very Happy

@Dhruv...cant  say  genius,  but  am  always  curious  to  do  a  lot  of  things  myself.  It  not  just  saves  money*  but  gives  me  immense  satisfaction  and  sense  of  achievement.

*Sometimes  I  end  up  spending  a  lot  more  on  DIY  projects  than  what  I  would  have  to  buy  readymade  stuff.

 Really  nice  Idea   Very Happy
 Couple  of  questions  though.
Where  can  i  get  my  hands  on  a  ceramin  water  filter  candle?
 What  is  a  file?
Would  this  diffuser  work  with  a  diy  co2?  If  it  would,  i  would  immediately  give  it  a  try  as  a  ceramic  diffuser  is  costly  and  making  it  work  with  a  diy  system  is  a  hassle
You  are  the  saviour  Hamza   Thumb Up

@Hrishi007:  Maybe  a  good  quality  air  stone  can  replace  the  ceramic  candle.  Though  I  doubt  if  an  air  stone  can  produce  the  kind  of  fine  bubbles.

A  file  is  a  flat  piece  of  metal  with  rough  surface  that  can  be  used  to  grind  and  shape  objects.  Often  referred   to  as  Auto  Edit  Abusive  Word  File  or  a  Flat  file,  it  comes  in  various  shapes  and  sizes.  Probabaly  Hamza  used  it  to  shape  the  piece  ceramic  filter  to  fit  the  plastic  cap.

This  may  not  work  quite  satisfactorily  with  DIY  CO2  because  it  takes  a  bit  of  pressure  to  force  the  CO2  through  the  fine  pores  of  a  ceramic  filter  and  the  DIY  CO2  simply  cannot  maintain  the  kind  of  pressure  for  any  length  of  time.

@  Hamza:  Good  DIY  attempt.  What's  your  view  on  using  a  good  quality  air  stone  at  the  end  of  a  air  tube?  If  successful,  we  can  avoid  the  tooling  using  the  file  to  shape  the  ceramic  to  fit  the  bottle  cap.

GOSH   Surprised  The  auto  checker  caught  the  B*****d  I  used.  Its  a  genuine  name  of  the  file  and  not  used  in  abusive  context.

Pretty  nice  cheap  one  Thumb Up

Put  some  sand  in  the  cup  next  time,  it  will  not  float,  and  you  wouldnt  need  any  suckers/holders  then.
Hope  it  helps  for  a  good  disguise.

 Madan,

Do  you  know  any  ceramic  manufacturers/sellers?  who  could  sell  us  some  sheets  or  discs?

 Thanks.
