Great.  There  is  not  too  much  information  on  those,  so  it  should  be  interesting.

Hypselobarbus  has  been  driving  many  people  up  the  wall.

I  would  id  it  as  H.  curmuca.  I  know  there  is  lotta  difference  in  opinion  about  H.  curmuca  and  H.  kurali.

I  id  it  that  way  maybe  because  I  have  not  yet  seen  a  single  specimen  of  H.  kurali.

Good  thing  you  preserved  it........sure  would  serve  as  a  good  comparative  material  for  anyone  working  on  this  group.

Hope  you  preserved  them  all..............these  are  real  precious  Smile  I  would  love  to  examine  them  when  I  manage  to  meet  you  sometime  Smile

With  just  the  photos  I  venture  to  id....

 First  specimen:  Hypselobarbus  kolus

Reason  for  id:  Scales  relatively  small;  41  lateral  line  scales;  caudal  tipped  with  grey

 Second  specimen:  Hypselobarbus  curmuca

Reason  for  id:  Snout  conical;  band  of  pores  on  cheek  (just  variation  in  pore  density  or  arrangement  need  not  necessary  be  a  different  species  as  there  is  lot  of  variation);  Caudal  with  black  tips;  39  lateral  line  scales;  Mouth  highly  sub-terminal

 Third  specimen:  Hypselobarbus  thomassi

Reason  for  id:  the  only  one  in  the  Hypselobarbus  group  to  have  lateral  line  scales  below  34.  The  specimen  has  31  scales  if  am  not  wrong.

These  are  inferences  by  just  closely  looking  at  the  photos  and  using  available  literature.  Closer  examination  of  gill  rakers  and  mouth  parts  can  change  the  identity  all  together

This  is  to  the  best  of  my  ability.........hope  it  helps  Thumb Up
